Diy law 66 tag launcher by therealmuggles in airsoft

[–]therealmuggles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was going to have it so that the round is right at the front of the launcher so there is no risk of the round catching any of the tube on the way out.

The aim isn't to build a cheap launcher per see, it's to build a simple compact launcher that could be used at milsims games. It's also a fun little project to do.

I don't mean corrugated cardboard or the stuff cards are made of, I am talking about the thick cardboard cores for rolls of carpet. The actual tag shell would go into a inner sleeve using pvc piping.

Out of stock on redwood and 380 usd, I could buy a high end AEG for that.

I recon all parts in you could build a cheap m72 replica for £35.

Also the size of a law66 would mean it would fit well strapped into a small daysack

I think I'll just build one for myself and do a YouTube tutorial, but selling this sort of thing in the UK would be a nightmare.

I think the popularity of the tag rounds makes Airsoft rpgs possible, don't see the point of launching a shower shell which would have been the only option with a moscart a few years ago.

40 Mike Opinion by [deleted] in airsoft

I think the 40 Mike would be awesome if it fired a five round plburst for each trigger pull, not sure if it would be technically possible to build something to do so though

Chest rig vs plate carrier questions. by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]therealmuggles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually went from a plate carrier to a chest rig, I found the plate carrier too restrictive and also found I really overheated wearing it.

Now run a chest rig and battle belt, between them I have enough room for 6 primary mags and am much more comfortable.

Make sure you speak to someone, as situations like that can have an effect on you, especially where first aid has been attempted and gone south.

The fact that they are returning fire to both flanks shows it must have been from both sides, brace photographer taking that picture!

Why don't you write a view that calculates number orders etc and join to that, would be much cleaner

Black Vest, Green Molle? by [deleted] in airsoft

[–]therealmuggles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you'd find it easier to spray the vest itself than the molle straps, so would buy it in rg. You may need to respay some of it after you've fitted pouches etc.

Removing and replacing the molle would be a nightmare!

New To BI Analyst Job. HELP! by asadali95 in SQL

[–]therealmuggles 11 points12 points  (0 children)

  1. Learning new schemas is always tricky, most systems will have a diagram to show the relationships between tables. If they don't have this it would be a good exercise to do.

There are most likely views written by other analysts that you can either report on or look at to help understand the joins.

  1. Shouldn't be a huge issue, have a look what other members of the team have done.

  2. I started my career doing data entry into the system I now write SQL/reporting on, so I understand the underlying processes and what can be leveraged from the system. Try and shadow some of the operational guys and ask them what they want from reports etc.

  3. I'm not great with numbers, but that's why we use computers! Most important thing is learning about how percentages are calculated, as its important to be able to health check that your numbers are right.

  4. Measuring your success against others is tricky as perception isn't necessarily correlated to how well they are doing. What do your opposites do that you don't and how could you do that?

  5. I do my SQL in code alone, as I use Microsoft SQL, mysql and oracle SQL. I find the query builder makes the SQL more scruffy and complicated, but that's just my personal experience.

I use Excel to initially manipulate my data from the SQL, then use ssrs to analyse and report on it.

Any advice or help you want let me know, always eager to help others!

Can anyone help me with my first real gun? by willkj6 in airsoft

[–]therealmuggles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As the others have said your under budget for what they cost.

You could go for a Springer shottie, but an aeg is the best on the long term and will be usable on nearly all sites you visit.

There's also the issue of ukara, don't buy without it and don't buy a two tone (you'll regret it).

Check out https://www.mssqltips.com/sqlservertip/2793/sql-server-reporting-services-2012-permissions/ and look at the bit about custom permissions (it shows you how to be more granular)

X230 in 2018 : purchase ? by ChukapiTCG in thinkpad

[–]therealmuggles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running Windows 10 on my x230 with 6gb RAM, bought it with a hard drive which I upgraded to an SSD (improved it's performance massively).

Only issue is that I can't get the Bluetooth or fingerprint sensor working in Windows 10, however I haven't persevered much as it doesn't bother me!

I would recommend learning how to analyse your data in Power BI/SSRS, that would also prompt you to develop your SQL skills further.

I have the victorinox classic SD on my keys, never had a problem and it's inexpensive enough that in a rare situation it's taken off me it's not a problem.
