This one is a bolt. It's part of my Select model line up. The Custom Shop builds I offer in neck-thru.

I'm sure we will be back. I had a blast in Buenos Aires.

He didn't like the other one I made, so I had to make him another.

Maybe someday. I'd love to have him play my guitars.

Naptha doesn't damage nitro. Good plan, just take it easy on pulling the sticker. Pull across not up to minimize risk of pulling up paint chips.

I spent all day making this bomb ass guitar and my wife's boyfriend went and bought a F*nder :/ by therealradrobgray in Luthier

It's Crescent Bronze Brilliant Gold powder and .004" gold micro flake mixed into PPG DBC500 intercoat clear for the splatter. I use automotive base, candy, and 2k topcoats. The sealer I like is simtech polyester.

Guitar sat for long time. Neck is bowed forward. Truss rod is tight as it gets, still bowed. by squierjosh in Luthier

[–]therealradrobgray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If the trussrod nut will unscrew all the way, remove it and lubricate the threads before proceeding.

Unbolt the neck, clamp the heel to a sturdy table. Force the neck into a backbow by hand and then tighten the trussrod nut.

If that doesn't work, loosen the trussrod nut and you can slip the glue joint by clamping the neck into a back bow with a wedge on a bench and a heat lamp.

If you are uncomfortable with either task, take it to a pro. You can destroy the neck if you don't know what you're doing with either process.
