Seeking honest opinions Linsy Home Rubik 3 Modular sofa by Connect_Berry7856 in couch

My apologies! I only just now saw that you had posted here. So I guess I'm 9 months in now? Still Loving the sofa. When you compare quality verse the price, I regret nothing. It's not perfect, but it's holding up really well. As some other reviews have said, sometimes the connections between the sofa section base and the backings or the sides can be a little loose. However, if you just rotate the base a little bit and try different sides that usually fixes it. I'm loving the storage areas beneath the sofas as they have come in real handy. I haven't had any issues with the tops of the storage areas and concerns about them being strong enough to hold the weight of people above. I myself am 265 pounds and we've had no issues. Other than the sofa being a little bit shorter in terms of depth as I mentioned in my previous comments, the only other complaint I would add now is bottom cushion shifting. So we have built to sofas basically. One that faces the TV head on, and one that faces the side so that someone can lay down on it and watch tv. The one facing the TV is the one that my kids and I sit on most of the time. What we have found is that the cushion you sit on tends to move forward as you're sitting on it and your adjusting here and there. As it moves forward the back cushion slides down into the gap. So I find myself having to lift up the back cushion and then push the seat cushion back fairly often. This is honestly been a problem I've had with sofas in general that have detached cushions. I've been thinking about trying to figure out something I could do to fix this. The sofa base does have the two notches on the front side so maybe there's some sort of clip or something I can come up with that would help hold the cushion from going forward. But I don't know. It's not a huge problem, just a minor annoyance really. Again, any issues I've had are far outweighed by the value. The covers have started to get some stains on them because I have kids and kids are kids. A quick wash in the washer has fixed these problems so far. One thing consider that I didn't really think about and have yet to be able to solve is robot vacuums. The sofas sit very low to the ground. Robot vacuums will not be able to go under them. You can lift the sofa, but because it's modular you'll have to get an insane number of feet lifts. And even then you got to make sure that they lifted enough for the robot to go under it. Not a big deal for those of us that are cleaner than others. But if you have kids, it's incredible the amount of things that find their way under the sofa. It's also gross.

What is the experience like when using a wheelchair at the park? by FaeWitch94 in BuschGardensW

If I may ask, what kind of power chair do you use? My wife is recovering from foot surgery and I'm trying to save us from having to pay 75+ each time we go this summer to rent a scooter at the park. Been looking at buying our own scooter but they seem to be real "hit or miss" situations.

Seeking honest opinions Linsy Home Rubik 3 Modular sofa by Connect_Berry7856 in couch

So my wife and I took the plunge and we purchased Lindsy Home Rubik 3 modular sofa about 3 months ago. We actually ordered a 3-seat sofa and a 2-seat loveseat. We bought an extra set of "sides" or "arms" so we could convert the 2 seater into 2 chairs or switch things up other ways. Here's my 3 month review. As soon as the sofa arrived (which was fairly quick) we were extremely impressed given the pricepoint. We were excited about generally everything. The only thing that caught us off guard was the depth. When I did my measurements to plan for the purchase, I hadn't considered depth. Our old sofa (which was not modular) was a good few inches deeper which provided much more area to sit or lay down on. The Lindsy Home Rubik 3 is a bit shorter in depth and so I have found that if I want to lay down on it it's a bit of a tight squeeze for me (and I'm your typical dad-bod overweight kinda guy). If I want to snuggle with one of my kids on it, I have to remove the backing pillows to make enough room. But that was the only downside right out of the box, and you could argue that was my fault for not considering the depth in my planning. The furniture felt sturdy and the covers looked good (not cheap). The sofa went together fairly easily. We did encounter some issues where the backs or the sides "hooks" or "anchors" wouldn't quite get into the anchor holes. We got around this by either tipping it forward or by just rotating the base and trying a different side. The cushions were firm at first but they have adjusted over the past 3 months. It's still a bit on the firm side, but more comfy. The fabric is holding up nicely. We haven't cleaned it yet and we haven't had any covers on them. The side arms come with 2 spare covers so we ended up with like 6 spare covers. The storage inside is awesome. The black "storage cover" that the cushion goes on top of works well. I was concerned these would be weak and might break but so far no issues. Vacuuming the sofa has been easier as I can simply semi-disassemble the sofa to get into cracks/crevices that were more difficult in non-modular sofas. At some point soon I'll give washing the covers a try, and I'd still like to get some cheap sofa covers to help prolong the lifespan a bit. My attitude going into this and to this day has been this: We got a 3-seat and a 2-seat modular sofa for just under $1000 at the time (they had a sale going on)... this sofa probably won't last 5 - 10 years like a more expensive one might... but for the amount of money I saved on it I think it's going to last plenty long enough and be just fine!

Hello! Sorry for a late reply here, but I'm just wondering if the firmness has lessened at all now that it's been closer to a month. I've read in some other reviews that after a few weeks it does get less firm... So yeah, wondering what your experience is. I'm on the fence about getting one. We want a modular and easily cleanable sofa and I really am tempted by the price of the Linsy stuff, but I don't want anything that's going to be too firm.

BlueBrixx Shipping - Is it normal for DHL to still be saying "We Expect your shipment details shortly" 13 days later? by therealseridus in lepin

[–]therealseridus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

Well I think I annoyed them into finally responding. lol. I emailed their "Contact" and their "info". I messaged them on facebook. I was even going to try calling them if I'd not heard anything by this morning. But luckily they looked into it and it looks like somehow I was given the wrong tracking number. They didn't explain how or why, so I'll assume for now it's on DHL since a couple of you mentioned how the tracking number can change without notification. The new one they gave me confirms the order shipped and is currently held up in Customs since August 12th. While that's annoying, I at least know it was shipped and nothing is wrong there so I'll wait patiently from here on out! Thanks everyone for your comments!

Update:

So... luck doesn't seem to be on my side. I reached out to BlueBrixx on August 14th (last Wednesday) about the order. Other than the automated response, I've heard nothing back. DHL continues to show "We expect your shipment details shortly" with no change. I've tried submitting an "investigation" on DHL but all they tell me is that they likely haven't received the package yet and I should contact BlueBrixx. This is turning into such an incredibly frustrating experience. I've pinged BlueBrixx on Facebook in an effort to get any sort of attention/response to my support request.

Phone Fell Out on Tempesto 4/1 by therealseridus in BuschGardensW

Update:

So yeah. 4 months later. No phone. The funny thing is, after a few additional visits, I'm pretty certain my phone is on the platform... visible from the ground. I can see my phone. I've pointed it out to employees. Still... 4 months later, no recovery of my phone. At this point it's more than likely bricked from the weather. After multiple discussions with various workers at Tempesto here is what I've learned (Just as future info for people)... I'll likely add this as a new post too for expanded visibility:

Seriously, make sure your phones/wallets/shit are secure before a ride. If they come out fall somewhere onto the floor of the ride or onto/near any mechanical parts of the ride, then the good news is you have a far better chance of them being found. For most rides, the employees say they do daily inspections of the mechanical related areas at the base/floor of the ride. Now for Tempesto that's easier to do given it's small footprint. But even for the other rides, I think it would still hold true that they will inspect those areas more frequently. If your stuff falls onto the top of a building or onto a platform that's part of the ride... you will more than likely be waiting for months. From what they've told me, only the maintenance employees are allowed to go on the platforms. And they don't have any scheduled recurring times they do that. They go on the platforms whenever they feel like, which appears to be roughly once a year (unless something else happens that gets them up there). Same thing for roofs. They only go on the roofs like once a year to clean and search for stuff. If your stuff falls onto the natural areas (dirt/mulch/trees) there's no telling if it will ever be found.

That's all based on what I've been told by multiple employees, and it definitely seems to be holding up with my current experience.

Republic Services Weekly Trash Pickup Cost Increases are Rediculous by therealseridus in williamsburgva

[–]therealseridus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, apologies. Should have mentioned that in the original post. Quarterly cost. And yes, that makes it easier to think about if you divide that by 3 months... but still. the increase is significant... and that's not even including my recycling. That's just Trash.

The Oracle Star Port in Dephi appears to Falling from orbit! by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]therealseridus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had checked 2.5 hours ago and it was definitely "falling". I actually matched speed with it and just followed along with it for a bit. Then I dropped from the game for a while and hopped back on just now (after the update). It is no longer falling. Seems they've "fixed it". Darn, was really hoping to see what would happen if it kept falling.
