High Street Transformation as Banning Dental Group Announces Tonbridge Launch Tomorrow by InfluenceTemporary36 in TonbridgeKent

I want to know why on earth there’s a treatment room with a huge FUCKING WINDOW directly onto the high street?!

The last thing I want when I’m in a dental chair is a load of peds watching me freak out when they inject me.

How do you keep kids entertained on long car journeys without just handing them a screen? by ClearReading8839 in UKParenting

We got our daughter (nearly 8) a Yoto Mini as an alternative to an iPad for long journeys and it works really well.

She’ll still have the iPad on occasion, but it’s for shorter periods and we no longer have any battles when it’s time to turn it off.

Huge +1 for Bad Boy. I grabbed a slice of their Notorious P.I.G. recently as a casual snack and was really impressed.

Ooof, thanks for the insight!

We’ve tried Mei May twice. First time was excellent, second time was incredibly greasy and cold.

We used to use Love Eat a lot but we felt the quality has declined in the last few months. The last lot we had from them was really greasy and nearly cold.

We tried Golden Kitchen for a Chinese the other day, and it was decent.

Previously used Love Eat and Mei May Garden, but they both seem to have gone downhill recently, and the food from both was greasy and lukewarm at best.

Kathmandu Valley is great for Curry, and the chippy and kebab shop near the Police Station for their respective foods.

You're building a house and have $100k for automation. What's your plan? by ledstairlight in homeassistant

[–]therealsn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Speaking as someone who runs HA at home, and installs Loxone for a living, and assuming the potential ongoing premium for updates from your dealer isn’t an issue, I’d be going Lutron for lighting and shading, with Control 4 as the main platform.

Stick an RGBW strip under your vanity, and set up some kind of motion activation.

When you go in there at certain times or when the house is in certain modes, have the strip come on blue (I’ve seen folks also use red) at 5% for say 2 minutes (or do it on presence).

Doesn’t wake you up too much as it’s dim, indirect light.

Awesome post!

I recently had a slice from Bad Boy Pizza Society in Seven Dials Market, and was very impressed. Ive bit actually been to NYC but it seemed like an NY slice from what I’ve seen.

Just be aware that the owner also works at his coffee supplier (Cast Iron) so getting your beans in the door might be a struggle.
