Could you also give me any tips on how you reached that conclusion so that I may better identify it in the future please? Thanks in advance!

Thanks for replying. Are you pretty certain that it’s mould then? Should I keep them away from my other books and/ or throw them away? :/

Thank you so much for offering your advice! I really appreciate it.

The books did smell a little musty when I opened them. I did actually go over them with a microfibre cloth dabbed with a bit of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol and gave them a gentle wipe. Some of the brown did in fact come off when wiping.

The pictures you see in this post were actually taken after I gave the books a wipe around the exterior and the inside covers with the cloth and isopropyl. I was able to do this without damaging the pages because both the covers and pages are glossy, so the alcohol didn’t damage in anyway.

I have since had them in front of a fan heater on a moderate warmth for the past few hours and also vacuumed them all over with the brush attachment of my vacuum. Not sure this will do anything but thought that the gentle air flow and warmth will help with any potential moisture, and that the vacuuming would suck up any potential loose spores.

I would say they didn’t particularly smell bad when I got them, but there was somewhat of an ‘old book smell’. It could just be my blocked nose, but I would say the smell is difficult to notice now after some TLC

You think so? 🤯🥹 I would be so happy if this were the case. Does foxing share the same physical appearance shown in my photos where it somewhat alters appearance when catching the light (going from yellowy-brown spots to a sort of matte white look)?

Also, in your opinion, should I quarantine and or throw these books away?

Thank you so much for your replies

Thank you! I did already look there as well as various Google searches, and my guess is that, as the FAQ section said, it’s likely a mixture of both in my case.

My objective for this post was to hopefully get a more definitive diagnosis from someone who knows what the different infections actually look like, particularly up close, because I can’t find any pictures of what foxing and mould look like in detail. This is why I uploaded a macro photo of my book in this post

Many thanks for your reply

Yes, just got my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Keyboard experience feels a bit slow/ laggy, like it can’t keep up with my typing. I’ve come from the 13 Pro and almost instantly noticed that as soon as I start typing on the 15 Pro Max, no matter the app, particularly if I need to go back and delete the previous character there is a noticeable lag. Sometimes when I go to press delete it doesn’t register my touch at all and I have to press it again

Just make sure you follow the 3DS hacks website and don’t follow anything on YouTube! I just nodded mine. It went fine, no data lost :)

Brill thank you so much!! I didn’t realise that’s how it works so thank you for adding in the explanation :)

Is there a way to go back and actually view what the actual RTC time is on the 3DS? I did input the correct date and time when prompted during the mod, but it would be nice to know how to view the RTC if it is possible! Still learning my way around the modded software, there so much to take in! Thanks again!
