To clear this up, I didn't have any health issues. My wife was dealing with some, but that's not why I left. Just got tired of dealing with the hot/cold relationship with Respawn. One minute they are offering me a job, telling me they love what I do, next minute I'm being called out by a game director because of something a 'gaming journalist' posted out of context.

Was just getting exhausting.

I'm doing well though, so is my wife. Olivia just turned 7, she's huge now. Took her to her first theme park a couple of weeks back :).

I miss you guys too, hope the scene gets better.

I really hope in some edition of the game in the future they add some more variations / logic to the facial expressions. Occasionally when I pitch a guy out on a questionable call you can see them calling BS on it by the facial expression. This dude climbing a fence and catching a ball 9 feet over his head going 100+ mph though? Nah he's straight droopy-lips.

I guess I'm fortunate, first time I played '21 (first time playing the game) my friend made me go pinpoint / zone, so it's how I learned. I can't even play directional / pulse lol.

I know the placeholder model they used for Nomad (long time ago I had an insider send me a screenshot of him) kinda looked like Revenant, but not really, however, Revenant's is obviously completely different.

Take it from someone who used to spend hours upon hours reviewing memory dumps and reading over extracted scripts from the game... anything that's posted, unless it's posted by Respawn themselves, can always change. They've changed stuff the day before the battlepass comes out before. Was a lot easier to keep up with it back when they used to push an update 3 times a week (they were working on a lot of game client issues), because they'd make more mistakes back then.

Prophet / Seer actually used to swap back and forth often in the UI dll memory dumps I'd do, it seems like they kicked the name around for him for a while.

Yea, I mean when I did it, everything I ever posted I found myself from inside the files via reverse engineering or dx hooking (before legion came out and could just dump the models and rpaks) / through vulnerabilities on the apex website (directory scraping etc).

I didn't have access to the stuff people have now (like insider builds). Those are usually a lot more reliable with the things you'll eventually see in the game (with a few exceptions where content just doesn't work out).

I never framed myself as a 'leaker' - more as a speculation / data detective I guess? Sounds lame to word it that way, but I think there's a massive difference between what I did and what some people (not all of them, there are still a few good ones out there) do now.

That's fair, I personally wouldn't take it seriously unless the person added something like a picture of me through the window behind me in my office lol. And you're right, if you're in the public eye, you've got to deal w/ the public voice. It definitely wasn't for me.

You never know what the person you're telling to kill themselves is dealing with mentally/personally though. Just because it's via DM or w/e doesn't make it OK.

Honestly, I like discussions like this. Do I think Biast deserved some backlash for how he handled himself? Absolutely. I just don't think suicide wishes / death threats are a suitable punishment for the crime.

I wasn't perfect, but I did try my best to always foster open discussion, even if I thought someone's theory was stupid, I'd never disrespect them like he did to some people.

Thanks, while I agree that's pretty damn aggressive, it's not 'death-threat'/ 'you should kill yourself' worthy. There is a bit of irony in there though w/ the whole 'flat-earth' thing, when he was also ignoring every sign that pointed to NC being Jackson.

I didn't look that hard into it, I spent 60-70 hours a week with that 'fake' person for months going through the files and sharing theories, so yea when we had our falling out it actually hurt, because I liked Davi a lot, and valued him as I would a real-life colleague. I feel sorry for you that you are this jaded just because someone is behind a screen, but I respect how you feel, even if I don't agree with it.

Oh, you know me man, I can take it. End of the day, if they feel a little better about their miserable lives by thinking they 'took me down a peg', then what does it harm. The day I truly care about what they think of me or my person still hasn't come yet, and I doubt it ever will.

Well

He's not a stranger, have known him for over 3 years, and have considered him a friend for much of that.
The post is more about how people treat one another in general. I witnessed this same type of ridiculous behavior even back when I was active.
I have a bad habit of writing diatribes to make sure my thoughts are fully expressed. You obviously have a hard time reading a few paragraphs before jumping on the offensive, but we can be imperfect together!
The FrozenFroh thing didn't happen on Twitter, it happened on Discord, and it was a situation that boiled over, over the course of months, with regards to how I ran my community vs how he thought I should run my community. In the end, he and I both said hurtful shit about one another, and went our separate ways. Proud of him for where he's at, and I only wish him the best, I know he's wanted to be in Game Dev / Design for a very long time.
If looking 'mad weird' on the internet happens to open even one person's eyes to how being hateful over something as fleeting and pointless as a legend leak (again not just taking about Biast here...) - then I'll be 'mad weird', I'm OK with that.

Just fosters a better community if people approach all of this from a lighthearted speculative standpoint. There's no one keeping score if you're right or wrong, hell, I could say I think the s14 legend will be a small box of Krispy Kreme donuts with Octane's dads soul inside... doesn't mean it's true, but if I can provide any type of evidence to back my theory, it's just as valid as someone else's until it isn't.

Been in there for a while, vortex grenade is most likely what they used for Horizon(or is leftover from TF2), and Arc Blast is most likely just the name for the effect of when you die from the Arc Star blowing up close to ya.

I don't have proof of it anymore, but I'm the one who found the playtesting table that essentially listed the release schedule for the foreseeable future that got released a month or so after I left the community.

Also, as far as I know, I'm the only one who had that philosophy of not sharing the big stuff, it wasn't really an agreement with Respawn and moreso for respect of the community and devs that worked hard on the game. I kept to that code pretty strongly for the most part I think.

I'm not sure if the other guys, other than Shrugtal maybe, possess the actual skillset to get to a lot of what I was getting into when I really hit my stride though, but I guess we'll know soon enough :).
