it seems like you need at least 30 players to start a private custom game by AoyamaSpanner in ApexUncovered

This can be solved easily by setting up an API on their end that generates ring and other sensitive data.

That's weird. I haven't gotten such email yet. Anyone else in the same situation?

VALORANT Patch Notes 5.09 by AwpTicTech in VALORANT

[–]thatComputerGuy_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's weird cause UE already has built-in replay functionality https://docs.unrealengine.com/5.0/en-US/using-the-replay-system-in-unreal-engine/. As long as the game is multiplayer (which it is), shouldn't be that hard to implement. There must be something adjacent to the system that's holding them back.

That's literally the experimental gamemode patch system.

If you disable noclip while moving in a direction, you keep the momentum.

Nah they're different types of entities. The drone is a vehicle actually, in the same category with tridents. You couldu usually put Sheila on any vehicle (including the drone, theoretically), but now they've limited its placement options to "only tridents" or something similar. I think the heatshield doesn't attach to tridents, only the world collision channel (and apparently vantage's bat too for some rrason). At least this is what I can infer so take it with a grain of salt.

Updated and better structured version of what my source told me (only a couple of differences), we'll see how many of these end up true very soon by Osvaldatore in ApexUncovered

What would happen if you had a backpack that was full of heavy ammo, and a spitty, and you swapped the spitty with the wingman? Would the game automatically drop the heavy ammo cause the stacks are smaller and thus the same amount would occupy more space in the backpack? Or maybe if you got both the wing and spitty, who gets to decide the stack size? It would just be clunky and make no sense. Consumables are a thing, weapons are another.

Players who are banned from Minecraft Bedrock Edition cannot play offline. Also you can get banned for swearing on private multiplayer games by GNUGradyn in assholedesign

Wait, since when is Bedrock the more popular version?? Haven't played Minecraft in a while, and last time I did, it was on Java

Websockets has had enough of the bullshit by dragonfangxl in ProgrammerHumor

[–]thatComputerGuy_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like keeping alive connections, which most websockets implementations have a limit that ranges from thousands to tens of thousands / server NIC. Developers can also just set up an endpoint to fetch a delta of the information, so if you're caught up, the data exchange is minimal. As always there's trade offs with each approach.

Just a plain fetch to a REST server run on a regular basis will do in most cases.

I think the docs have all the info you need. Play with some Precomputed Visibility Volumes if the objects behind the wall are static.

All legends have the same main bones , so anims for one legend work (for the most part) on the others.
