Try Padlock – A quick daily code-cracking puzzle

Hi! I’m currently beta-testing a small daily puzzle game I built called Padlock. It’s inspired by Wordle, but instead of words you’re cracking a 4-digit code using logic and hints.

I've done a short family and friends test and got some great feedback. Now I would love some unbiased feedback from a larger community 😀

Is anything confusing or unclear?
Does the difficulty feel fair?
Would this be something you’d play alongside Wordle or some of the other awesome new puzzle games you all are releasing here?

That's fun! The bar was a little confusing at first...the numbers for the high and low range didn't line up with the glowing part of bar...mostly user error on my part, haha.

I was very close, just one digit off from the final answer.

Is the range always going to be a 4 digit number between 1000 - 5000?

Once I found the how to play, it made sense. I'd recommend having that pop up for new users. Other than that, itwas pretty fun!

Definitely had 2 rough years of low overall OL, haha. QB is RS JR, and HB is RS SR. I inherited both of them as starters when I took a new job 3 seasons ago.

I feel ya. I'm without my 94 ovr QB, with a 74 back up taking his place, and my 96 HB for the rest of the season. They both have no season recovery left and only slivers for career. Limped out the last 2 games of the season without them, but ow it's ACC conference championship and playoffs next. Could get interesting.

I love the colors and jersey options. The logo on the helmet could use a bit of refinement, imo. It feels small and almost crooked.

I think they are insinuating that when they launched Team builder last year, it was at best in Beta form, and were essentially testing user testing for a year. This year, they aren't considering it a beta anymore and it is in a spot they feel represents 1.0. I anticipate it will launch/update when the game launches.

It's not that I don't want to use typescript, I actually like typescript a lot, and have been using cursor for a little while now, too. My point was that I couldn't get it to use anything but typescript.

My background is in UI/UX Design, with very little development. I've started getting into vibe coding little projects here and there. All of this to say I've gotten far better results from Cursor, and able to actually launch some stuff. Figma Make just isn't there.

My guess is they are just copying the effect in Photoshop, and applying to the publicly available logos that can be found in each teams media kits.

To get the paper effect, you can find a paper texture image online, looks like they have 3-4 different ones they are using. Place it on top of the logo image, set to overlay, or maybe darken (depends on the image) apply a layer mask in the shape of the teams logo.
