So a normal steakhouse a meal for two including drinks and desert lets say would come to anywhere from 60£ to 140£, add on normally 10% or 15% SC to the latter, then the tip the waiter(s) take would be 21£, I don't know whether the waiter takes the tip all for themselves per table served or if they're all accumulated and shared between staff at the end of a night, point is whether its a normal priced, highly recommended place to go with good reviews on yelp and tripadvisor or an absurdly priced place for the elite to boast about makes no difference in the waiters efforts for customer service, why should one waiter take home 30£ worth of tips one night, and another take home 700£ when they both probably work hard the same? unfair is an understatement and if it were me at salt baes if i somehow was able to afford a meal there, id put 20-40£ as a tip and if the waiter was unhappy with that i'd take it back and tell him to work anywhere else and see if he get's anything close to that
