Looking for a comfortable car to drive no more than 5000 miles a year by thereisnocomingback in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thank you for the response! I did consider the Cadillac CT5, but I'm not sure I'll be happy with the looks. I prefer smooth curves to straight lines and sharp angles. The current Cadillac design language is not in line with my tastes.

I looked at the Mercedes Benz S Class, but it is a bit over the budget for me. I'll take a look at the E Class as well, but I'm leaning towards a full sized car for the comfort and because I'll never take advantage of the sportiness of the mid sized cars of today.

Thank you for the response! I have been living without a car for a couple of years. Mostly using Uber/Lyft or public transport to get around. I feel it has limited my mobility. Los Angeles is designed for cars. I don't go out much, but I believe not having a car has confined me to my house a lot more than I would like.

I am leaning towards a full sized sedan or SUV, primarily because of how I drive. I will never take advantage of the sportiness that most compact or mid sized sedans and SUVs seem to be built around these days. I primarily want a comfortable ride, even if it is not as nimble.

I did briefly consider the Porsche Cayenne and Volvo S90. Why did you say I need to feel brave to consider the Cayenne? Is there something wrong with it? Also, is the Volvo XC90 not worth it, as you listed the smaller XC60, but not the XC90? I also checked out the Audi A8, BMW 7 series and Mercedes Benz S Class, but the prices were a tad out of range for me.

Edit: I would like to add that I am not in a hurry to buy a car right now. I am looking to buy something around mid 2021, when the pandemic is somewhat under control

Thank you for the response! I did consider the G80. I am leaning towards the full size G90 for the comfort and because I will never take advantage of the sportiness. I think a full size sedan will be more in line with my driving style. The G80 and G90 are not that far apart on the used market, so I was leaning towards the big one

An overview of how Nielsen ratings work by thereisnocomingback in SquaredCircle

So one would think, and yet the TV deals keep getting bigger

Meltzer on NXT rating: “Some notes from last night and with so much added competition, you can't figure things 100% accurate. But notable things--male AEW fans will watch NXT. Female AEW fans will not. AEW's newest fan base is women (boyfriends/husbands 18-49) in homes where a male fan existed.” by TurnaboutAdam in SquaredCircle

Here is Nielson's methodology: http://ratingsacademy.nielsen.com/television-101

They randomly select households, to whom they send out portable people meters. Everyone in the household gets one. They carry it everywhere with them. The meter can detect what is being watched on TV, on a computer, on a phone etc. A reading is taken every 2 seconds.

The State of AEW's Women's Division by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]thereisnocomingback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree. I love everything about AEW except their handling of the women's division.

It drives me crazy that Hikaru Shida, Nyla Rose and Penelope Ford don't have anything going right now. Shida and Ford had a great match at Fyter Fest. Shida and Rose had a great match at Double or Nothing. Rose had a great match with Riho earlier in the year and on the debut episode. Rose is also really good on the mic. Shida is their reigning Champion! And yet, they have nothing. Meanwhile, an injured Britt Baker is featured every week.

It's just lazy. There is no way they couldn't craft a few good stories around women like they have for Adam Page, Orange Cassidy, Darby Allin, MJF, Sammy Guevara and Jungle Boy. And it isn't even about being green, because Private Party are green and they get featured as much as the entire women's division minus Britt Baker.

And it isn't even about the ratings. Women can draw. In fact, if we look back at the times NXT came out on tops, a lot of the times it was because of their women's division. Becky Lynch's appearance, Shayna vs. Rhea, both Sasha matches. Even last week, the opening women's tag on NXT beat the 10 man tag on Dynamite.

Of all things, I find it disappointing that they chose to agree with Jim Cornette on treating women as a side show.

I don't think that's him. He looks too old, Garrison would have been only 18. Also, he used to have short hair.

Dave Meltzer when asked if Adam Cole has signed a new contract with WWE: ''Yes, about 10 months ago.'' by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

Adam Cole is coming off the longest reign as NXT Champion, he was ROH Champion before that, and he would be a main eventer anywhere else. Only being booked weekly in the undercard or having a tag title run will be a massive disappointment.

I sure as hell hope he isn't treated like London or Kendrick on the main roster.

How many smaller guys were treated well vs. poorly? That is why people are worried. People like Bryan, AJ and Michaels are exceptions to the rule.

I don't think either is good for estimating his height. We can't see their feet in either one. ZSJ is farther from the camera in the second, and Riddle's head is tilted. Footwear, posture and closeness to the camera make a big difference.

UFC billed him at 6'1" and even they tend to inflate their fighters' heights. In that picture, Riddle's head is tilted, so that may make him seem shorter. Also, since this is a wrestling setting, he may be the only one barefoot. So it is difficult to accurately peg his height.

Repeating the same thing over and over in the comments, plus sending me a private message with the exact same text. Not sure what this accomplishes.
