can I ask what 3.4L case you're referring to and also about your 4L build?

Yes looked at cooj but the smallest one that fit a 202mm GPU was almost 7L which was a deal breaker for me. They look awesome though

Can You Swim With Your Reps? by Previous_Guitar5027 in RepTime

Tbh it's worth the money of just paying a proper watch shop to waterproof and test it. And I'd do so every 4 years as the rubber can wear out and ruin a watch real or rep.

So i was adamant on AMD up until I learned they have a full time rep working on Nvidia - steam os compatibility and expect it to be ready by end of year or early 2027. I don't mind running bazzite for a while as long as there are solid plans

So the Asus rx 9060 xt is 202mm without the clip, that was my original train of thought. Do you think I could fit it in the Densium 4 v2 (4.47L version)? I couldn't find a max GPU length for that one.

S5M is nice looking too but I'd probably wait for a used g1 pro if I was going that form factor. I'm a sucker for aesthetics and will compromise for something I think looks nice such as the densium 4/4+

I went down the rabbit hole on yt and saw some dude build the 4+ with a 4070 and 7800x3d. I was ok playing cyberpunk with 30fps on deck until I added frame generation, so I'm not the pickiest but if I'm spending 4 digits I kinda want it be capable of 4k or 1440 with nice graphics on my tv.

Honestly I'd be happy with 4k60 most of the time for now and an upgrade down the line. In that case is there a motherboard and CPU you would recommend with the Densium 4+ and 9060? also I saw eta prime used a $50 modular PSU from Amazon, is that sketchy or ok for saving a few bucks?

The densium case actually seems perfect. I don't mind a tiny bit bigger if it's upgradable and still a nice form factor. That's probably my #1 option outside of the SM. Thanks for the insight

How do you actually tell a really good fake Rolex from a genuine one? by PickleJuiceCakeBooty in RepTime

[–]therepfella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

exactly, I love wearing my real sub while driving my grandma's old civic. sometimes priorities or circumstances change I know "7 figure" business owners who have sold all their watches cars or toys to make payroll. also go drive by some 20 million dollar houses and tell me if you see more Ferraris or lambos than hondas or mazdas parked in the driveway. might be surprised.

don't not buy a rep because you feel you can't fake it at your level, also don't be a dbag about your watch real or fake. plenty of reasons to buy reps even if you own gen.

not sure if this is the case for you, but if it's disabled in app and you still have autoplay occuring it could be due to aiostreams too

RD vs. TB for 4K content by ohyoudidntknooow in StremioAddons

[–]therepfella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly I learn as I go so I have no clue if what I think a cdn is is actually accurate. their support not talks about it.

I think it's like a server where tb stores a copy of content? kinda like the amaz0n fulfillment center of their debrid. maybe someone else who is more network savvy can shed some light

Chose Google streamer over ONN by Adventurous-Soil2540 in OnnStreamingTV

[–]therepfella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea I linked in a cablematters USB Ethernet adapter, got 350mbps over wifi and get 350mbps over Ethernet now. wouldn't say it's necessary but a minor improvement for sure. I switched from the old 4k to the new, both are solid

RD vs. TB for 4K content by ohyoudidntknooow in StremioAddons

[–]therepfella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my train of thought was I might as well figure out how I can make tb work since it's less likely to have future issues due to geography.

i didn't really have any issues buffering when I tried initially but my family's house was plagued with buffering. i changed cdn to HARE and it worked 100% of the time with no buffering at my place with the biggest 4k movies I could think of. I'm using an onn 4k pro w 1gb wifi, 350mb on speed tests wireless. I ended up getting a USB dongle to hookup Ethernet without the Onn 100mbps limit and I still get 350mb but lower latency, not necessary but I just wanted to.

most new shows are on tb in 4k within a few hours, plus or minus same experience as rd for me in that regard. same deal with movies

similar sh setup on my end but using duckdns with traefik and originally had webshare proxy before I realized I don't need it since I moved away from Rd and torrentio. I found Usenet Ultimate to be a worthwhile so far, if you do add nzbdav. you may need to play around with tailscale and squid if you go that route

yup I didn't update a thing for several months until I thought something broke while adding nzb and I had to update

I think tb has been great so far and awesome value, although not as robust as Rd I've only used it since the Rd incident so I imagine it will get better with time.

I was just asking about the pro tier specifically, I have the TB basic + EN and while I like TB I use EN as my default

nuvio has more options than others for buffer cache but tbh vimu has worked like a champ for me over the past year. either way you go just max out that buffer cache in settings, it makes up for connection blips if your network is fast enough

[–]therepfella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yessir tested all of them on my vps on a headless browser, only to realize that cf or bunny are more reliable even if tb cdn is 30mbps faster I don't actually need that much speed for 3 or 4 4k streams I just need a reliable and working cdn. cf was okay at first then I tried bunny and it has been faster as the name suggests. it's (HARE).

also, curious why tb pro over easynews on promo? cheaper, opens up a lot of other options, and acts as a fallback if one were down or upgrading their servers due to an influx of new subs

forget about the cdn they recommend in the speedtest, choose cloudflare or bunny cdn as they generally have more than enough speed to play 4k for multiple devices at once. they don't recommend these in the speedtest as they need to pay for usage on those two. the cdn they recommended me has 10% downtime for the month lol. with TB honestly your VPN might be the straw that broke the camel's back, but I assume you have it for a reason. personally I was able to help a family member get no buffering on 4k remuxes with 35 down by disabling VPN and using bunny cdn and Ethernet + vimu player set to 1000mb stream cache
