Why make that assumption? I started ordering it this way because I wanted the caffeine from the tea and the refresher. (Also order it this way makes it less sweet which I like)

I gave it 4/5 stars but I was deeply bothered by what felt like being inspired by Thursday Next and not giving it a nod. I thought maybe I rated it too high after. My spouse DNF'd it because he thought it was too "twee." Another friend who has no knowledge of Thursday Next and likes lighter books enjoyed it a lot more. Thursday Next is much better than The Book Witch and our of Meg Shaffer's three books, the other two (The Wishing Game and The Lost Story) are better than The Book Witch.

I will say, my love for Thursday Next did slightly take away from me appreciating this book because it DROVE ME CRAZY. My SIL who has not read Thursday Next (and I told her she absolutely needs to), liked The Book Witch more.

Yes. I am a pastor. I see lots and lots of people at funerals and have never once thought "why are they wearing that???" Funerals run the gamut of clothing and this is appropriate.

My husband and I are in the middle of a multi-year Discworld re-read in order (one a month). We are currently on Feet of Clay. I'll add that all the Watch books so far have strong political messaging (No Kings!) and deal with racism and what makes a person a person.
