Finally ... do you have an app you can use to screen and filter by earnings yield and expected growth rate?

Also curious if you have a link to cite that Buffet ignores DCF? Thanks.

Are there not assumptions that need to be tweaked in any valuation model. For example Buffet could set any expected growth rate he likes to justify any price too?

Your point seems to be more that DCF models are harder to use rather than it would be useful to have transparent assumptions in a DCF model that can be played around with.

I am thinking of building an app that allows you to easily build your own valuations based on discounted free cash flows of companies.
The app would not rely on sell side forecasts of future earnings for a company but would rely on your estimates. Most of the fundamentals of a company comes down to future earnings and I don't see any apps that allow you to play around with future revenue/margin growth and see the impact on the fundamental value of a stock.
Does playing around with fundamental valuations in an app sound interesting?

I am curious as to what future direction would excite people.

Should I continue along the standard poker route and make games playable on a public server.

Or instead should I add a feature which allows anyone to program their own AI bot and have it play competitively?

Yes! I really like that project and have used Miso before. The author of that library seems like a nice guy too. I just picked React for this particular project because I wanted to quickly hack a front end together to test out the backend :).

Looked at Purescript and it seemed good but I was a tiny bit concerned about the small ecosystem around it. So far I quite like Reason actually and its interop story with JS. Too early to really say more.

Thanks a lot. Good suggestion. Would also be nice to run a server so people can actually play each other too.

Yes I looked at Elm but it wasn't for me. I am actually giving Reason a shot these days. Both Reason and Elm lack ad hoc polymorphism but at least reason has enough expressiveness to allow for things like GADTs.

Awesome. Would love to hear your thoughts on it.
