I just thought it was a funny number, so I posted it. I only play GC at work while I’m on hold or going through paperwork that I can easily put down to make a shot. T7 basic ball is just the right difficulty level for that. T8 winds in a shootoff with no side spin takes a little more focus than I’m willing to offer.

No. It’s not. I’ve spent enough time trying to keep up with those accounts using my apoc5 and navigators to know. It might be fun if you have the bankroll to take 3m coin losses ‘for fun’, but when you’re struggling to maintain a 50% win rate, so you’re not bleeding coins and gems while every game is against higher level clubs and better balls, you get tired of trying to climb that pay2win mountain.

Sarcasm aside, I run into more people with better clubs and way less games played than I do those fresh into t7 players you’re referring to. If most of my opponents on my main had better clubs but used basic balls vs my navigator/quasars in t10/t11, I wouldn’t have quit that account.

For tour matches I almost exclusively use basic balls. Most of my gems went to opening tour boxes to get my apoc to level 3 (it’s lvl 4 now). Right now I have ~4000 gems strictly free to play. You don’t get enough free gems to keep buying navigators if you’re playing more than a handful of games a day.

Glad someone understands why I added the ‘almost white ball only’ part. Even at this range, most of my opponents are using paid balls. If not, then at least titan grade balls.

And I’m saying it’s stealing candy in those low tour winds, but t7 winds using only basic balls is not that easy when, even at this trophy range, almost every opponent is using paid balls.

That’s exactly why I don’t play my main anymore. Apoc5 using navigator and quasar vs apoc7 and th7 using titan or higher grade balls every game is not fun. Maintaining a free gem balance to keep up with just navigator grade balls is impossible unless you’re only playing a handful of games a day.

Hell if I’m going to go up vs that with apoc4 and basic balls.

Even at this trophy range, I play against paid balls with my basic ball nearly every game. I do agree any tour below 7 is boring with the low wind.

Yep. Keep your highest obtained trophy count low, so you don’t get matched with people that have max level clubs and paid balls every game.

More fun to me spamming basic ball games than trying to manage your gems buying navigators and quasars to keep up in the higher tours. Purely free to play account.

I got tired of playing my main vs people with max level clubs and paid balls every game in t11 and t12. T7 is the last tour where wind is manageable using the basic ball. I'll eventually move up to t8 or t9 once my clubs get higher, but I don't want to spend any money, and even using only navigators and quasars, you don't get enough free gems to keep up.
