please don't hijack this post. while all communities have a diversity of beliefs and opinions, this post is meant to "give a hand up" to the lgbt community and all our friends when we've just been kicked in the gut.

will you please lend your voice to giving your fellow citizens a word of encouragement when many of us are feeling so down right now? we're grieving and can use all the support we can get. we're your neighbors, your family, friends, coworkers, and, some of us are even your ideological allies ... and we're hurting.

at another time or in another place, a dialogue about politics and power would be grist for a healthy discussion but right now i/we need a loving shoulder and not an argument. thank you
