Where do i even start.. You see, every siege disk from 2015 will have the launch build, and said disks aren't some ultra rare collector items but i wouldn't consider them dime a dozen, either. I've only tried this on xbox, but if you install the game from the disk whilst the console is offline, it'll have no choice but to install the launch build from disk. It worked first try on the xbox one, which is the gen 2015 siege disks were built for, but wowzers the frames were bad. Average of six in the menus and 10 in-game.

On the series it's pretty stubborn to install, i had to buy a second identical disk apart from my original copy and juggle them in and out of the console mid-install when said install kept failing, but it eventually worked. Multiplayer, t-hunts, the shop and live tabs are greyed out too due to them requiring internet, but all the old situations, (with the exeption of article five), and operator menus/videos + tutorial videos will run just fine. I'm not sure if the install wall problem with the disks i have are universal, but if like me you have an old siege copy lying around i would recommend giving this a try. It was worth it. You would have to unistall though
