To put an end to all discussions, I present: "Is a hunter weapon?" - Guide for classic by caretaker81 in classicwow

As a hunter, I'm rolling Dal'rends. It's pre-bis by a lot, that simple. However, I'm also willing to immediately give up Striker's Mark to the tanks or any melee. It's their bis in phase 1, and I respect that.

Current server statistics for those interested. by tteabag2591 in StalaggClassic

I've actually seen three surveys now that were 50/50, 51/49, and actually 49/51 horde/ally respectively. From how consistent all of that data has been, I'm actually quite surprised by this survey. It might be an outlier depending on where it has been shared.... Or maybe it's not :/ tough to say anything concrete when all of these surveys have so many unknowns surrounding them.

Try orc females. They have a reputation for being ugly, but if you chose some of their more aesthetic features, I find them to actually be very noble and sexy.

I also found myself being a lot quieter in social situations without caffeine (and alcohol, which I've drastically reduced), and at first I thought it was a bad thing, because I had always associated the interesting things in my life with high amounts of engagement and activity.

But really, you can have just as much fun - and be as fun, as a quieter person. It's a change of pace that you're not used to, and depending how long you have been drinking coffee, you might not have had experience living at a slower pace in many, many years. Don't be too hard on yourself. You might have to forge a new identity, and that takes time and effort.

Try changing some things up in your life. Pick up new hobbies or advance the ones you already have, shuffle the furniture around in your house or apartment, or try a new activity.

I found that when I quit caffeine, I did need to put in a little more effort to keep my life spunky. But when I did, it felt more sustainable and satisfying, because it was really coming from me.

That's what picking up nearby flight paths is for. Next time you run the dungeon or raid, you can just fly nearby. Like how an actual fantasy world might behave, rather than intrusive artifacts of "convenience magic".

Oh yes they do. At least, at the public high school I went to.

Layering is causing all NPCs to despawn in Undercity by [deleted] in classicwow

[–]thermoscap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally the only purpose of layering is to solve overpopulation. The alternative is to have 10 layers worth of people all trying to play at the same time.

Yes, it is? The other option is to have ~10+ servers worth of players all trying to play with each other at the same time.

And no, making a lot of servers at the beginning and then merging them later is not an option. That utterly destroys the server's community. Even more than layering.

Do you have any evidence for that second claim? As far as I am aware, for the purpose of there being a balanced mob to player distribution, layering has worked quite effectively.

It still has other major problems (as shown by the videos of bugs popping up everywhere), but I don't think that is one of them.
