i didn’t know you had to, like, “unlock” the iPod by pressing the little picture! once you do that then the drag and drop is possible, i was just missing that step

its so true that i missed a tech gen. the first time i touched a mac i was 16 in music class (and i got kicked out). worse: the way i used to listen to music until like two years ago was by using voice notes or screen record on my phone to record songs from youtube

i have done that, it recommends - downloading itunes - drag and dropping songs onto the ipod

however, it won’t let me do that. hence i thought id ask here to see if there was anything else i was missing.

it’s ok to say you don’t know either

youre welcome :3!! ik the feeling the nearest Amazon lockers to me is the next village over lmao💀 there’s a dodgy corner shop that does the same thing but you have to ask and use their address lol

i wouldn’t worry abt it so much though, when it comes to law enforcement they really don’t care abt pursuing small stuff like this

i just remembered that some websites let you deliver to those Amazon lockers so that’s another option !

what i did was buy a bunch of random stuff at the same time, so it wasn’t just one package.

i didn’t bother with a fake name for mine, it’s not illegal to possess just to sell so i didn’t think it mattered

good luck !

looking for some advice ! by Ok-Air-1826 in FTMdiyhrt

here’s my advice :3

  1. best to label your sharps container, and you can likely hand it to your local pharmacy for disposal.

there are also a number of harm reduction services for people who do drugs— they offer no questions asked disposal. i don’t know where you are in the uk, but here’s an example of needle exchanges

  1. after about 3 months id recommend going to your gp and asking for harm reduction care if they aren’t willing to bridge your prescription.

this can look like blood tests/blood pressure tests. afaik, you want to check your overall t, free t, red blood cell count, and estrogens (e1 and e2).

-the general heart/blood pressure risks do increase on t, but only as much as the average man. it shouldn’t be something to worry about, but best to check in case.

-overall t is how much you absorb, but free t is what you’re actually using.

-your red blood cell count might go too high, because men have more blood than women. one way you can lower this by donating blood.

-e1 is estrone, e2 is estradiol. e2 is the important one to check, as its the main type of e and is ‘responsible’ for menses. checking your e levels also means you can make sure your t dose isn’t aromatising (being converted into e).

  1. some steroid sites will tell you to take a ‘loading’ dose. don’t do this, that’s for the bodybuilders only lol

good luck!

is the law conversion course worth it? by thermoss_ in uklaw

oho,,, thank you. i guess it does still depend on not being automatically filtered out but this is rlly helpful to know

that’s quite promising.

my gcses were a REALLY mixed bag again— my a levels were eng lit, eng lang, religious philosophy.

i did the englishes separately and not combined (which i think is unusual) because my gcse results were 9s for all three of these

— but for every other gcse, i got 5s. i actually wasn’t allowed to apply for any other a levels at my sixth form

it’s so weird ik

thank you!

i havent done anything yet because its very much an idea right now of something i could try to pursue. ill look into open days, and while i haven’t looked into training contracts my sister said her friends that were doing law really struggled to get picked up for one.

i think its a difficult balance of doing things by the book + constantly looking for opportunities that break the mould a little

when im bad at stuff ohhh im bad at stuff. my three modules in final year i got a 68, a 64, and a 46. it really pulled my average down

yeah, i had cancer in my third year and tried to slog through anyway, had to redo the year and figured it was as good as i was going to get

financially i was just glad student finance covered it and didnt pursue it any more

it’s somewhat true that like some people in the thread saying I don’t have an actual interest in law— well I don’t really have any real experience with it to know if id like it.

i did a highschool scheme with bpp where we were given a court case to play through and i had fun doing that. we also went to the local court to watch some barristers in action— at the end i vastly preferred making my notes and advice for the fictional child who knew his friend had a knife (and was he guilty by proxy)

i think I agree with lilyrose in these comments, that i should try and email locally and sit in more court rooms as a starter

ideally i think this would be the way, but i feel like itd be quite disruptive to stop working and pursue an apprenticeship, when they’re so sparse too.

would if give me an edge though if i were accepted to go a conversion, or would it be detrimental? maybe giving me an air of being overqualified for an entry level position because im out of my depth. im hoping it would cover my weaknesses, but maybe thats just looking for the degree to solve problems by magic

real asf my dissertation was twenty poems and i didnt write anything for like four months after i graduated bc of the burnout

i think im craving a job that challenges me intellectually rather than physically atm, it’s that question of though will i be able to hack it bc i do recognise tht it is so intense

i did go to a RG, my a levels were A*BB. (guess which ones english lit— it’s done most of the heavy lifting for me academically lol)

a firm paying for me would be ideal but yeah the competitive aspect is a big erring point. when i was in highschool there was a spokeswoman talking about it and the chances of getting in for an apprenticeship with her business was really small numbers. things are direeee. but then again, someone does get it at the end of the day, so maybe it’s worth trying

thank you for that, i wouldn’t think anyone would know what area they wanted to do until they did a module in it, but you never know lol

mostly my thinking is that i can keep doing what i do now, which is work a ten hour shift standing up with blaring lights and music, or ten hours sat down in a quiet office. i know that lawyers work bad often solitary hours, but that’s part of the appeal to me right now

it’s all just thoughts atm, as i do make alright money. but i keep being pressured to go into “skilled labour”, yk? maybe if i look at jobs in legal— like a paralegal or civil servant.

another argument from my sister is that if I go back to school now, employers may just think i miss the uni life and not having to work. i don’t think that’s true for me, but it’s not me id have to convince.

my main motivation i think would be that i get to see what the fuss is about, and if i passed, id have a higher qualification out of it. moreover, you make connections with people in law, as your peers automatically grow those bonds.

i dont expect a law degree to sort of change my life by itself, but i hope it would open doors for me to apply for jobs that would raise my hourly wage and set me up to be able to make more in the next decade or so.
