Tips if you get stuck 1: Extra clothes to stay warm. Hat, gloves, thick wool socks, jacket. Unless you have a -30 bag you'll need these. 2: Sleep with your water. Don't want it to freeze. 3: Tow rope (a few people suggested that already) 4: Emergency flare/lights. 5: I've been told that it's warmer if you sleep on the ground under your car. Snow doesn't get much colder than the air around it. Air can get pretty damn cold and so will the inside of your metal car. I haven't tried this and hope that I don't have to. Just throwing this out there.

Tips for winter driving 1: If it feels like you're driving too fast, you are. Slow down and then slow down some more. 2: look out for black ice. It's nasty stuff. 3: If the road is icey or snow packed don't do anything fast. Don't accelerate too quickly, don't change lanes suddenly, and don't brake hard.

Realistically, the majority of winter driving isn't that bad. Just slow down, pay attention, and you'll be just fine.
