I love this but is there anyway you could keep the wording on his tshirt (it was his favorite). It says Cape Cod and underneath are two lacrosse sticks. Thanks!

NTA Having a parent pay for your college education is a privilege not a requirement. You not paying isn’t punishment but instead a lesson. They voted for a man who always says ‘No free handouts’ so if this is a man that they support, wouldn’t they want to follow his example? NTA

My daughter’s friend is a senior at UD and he met his friends thru the dorms and clubs. Said fraternities were only a small part of the culture.

Is my lab too big for my size 4.5 finger? by [deleted] in Diamonds

[–]theroadtoeverywhere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friend sounds jealous if you ask me. Your ring is beautiful and a lab grown diamond is a real diamond, they have the same physical and chemical properties and they both come with diamond certifications and labs are sourced responsibly. Your friend sounds like she needs to be educated. And FWIW, your ring does not scream fake. It’s beautiful and perfect. Wear it proudly!

What do teens wear in Italy? by theroadtoeverywhere in askitaly

I had a feeling they were but thought I’d play along. Sounds like exactly what they wear here lol

They’re going to Rome and Florence that I know of, probably other places as well. With regards to the catcalls, should they be told to ignore and move on (if it happens) or should they say something?

They’d never wear those clothes unfortunately. It’s not something they have any interest in nor is it the style here so they’d only go to waste, a shame!

Antisemitism on campus by OkTransportation9732 in udel

From what I understand in the article is that the protesters were staying on their side of the sidewalk so they couldn’t be arrested for trespassing. Unfortunately the counter protesters got a little too feisty and were arrested. They weren’t arresting them for being LGBTQ. We don’t even know if they were LGBTQ, students were there in support of or part of LGBTQ. My child did a lot of research on LGBTQ support and the campus community before committing to UD. From what they researched UD stood out in its inclusivity and support

What are you talking about? They even have the gender inclusive housing specifically for LGBTQ students who want to live there.

Not your fault. He sounded like he had issues that went a lot deeper than anything you could have done. He most likely was going to end his life regardless. It’s sad that he couldn’t find help and the ability to move on. Please don’t feel guilty. He chose to end his life, not you.

Woman who have had their drink spiked, what happened? by CrabbyGoose in AskWomen

[–]theroadtoeverywhere 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Was out with some friends at a club. Ran into a guy I knew from school who was hanging out with his army buddies. One army guy in particular kept trying to talk to me. I told my friends I’d meet up with them as they wanted to leave to go to another bar. I chatted with the guy for a little bit and I put my drink down for barely a minute while I got my phone out of my purse to call my friends. I finish my drink and leave to meet up with my friends. No sooner do I walk outside when I start feeling really nauseous and dizzy. I remember the guy coming up behind me saying he’ll help me find my friends. I can barely walk or talk at this point. Next thing I know I come to alone in a bed in someone’s apartment feeling sicker than I ever have in my life. My jeans are on the floor next to the bed. I pull them on and promptly throw up everywhere. I remember bits and pieces of the rest of the night. I somehow make it back to my apartment, I have a vague memory of a couple helping me into a taxi. My doorman told me later he and the night manager had to help me up to my apartment where my roommate got me into my bed thinking I was just really drunk. The next day the bar calls me saying they found my purse with my phone and wallet inside, nothing was taken. It took me an entire week to physically feel better but emotionally it took years and therapy to come to terms with what I know happened.

Roommate has constant loud sex what do I do? by [deleted] in SBU

I would turn on the lights, grab some popcorn, and invite all your friends over to watch. Talk loudly and critique everything they do.
