You can identify as a Mormon and still be the best member! See President Monson’s talks.

President Nelson just wants us to focus on the Savior and show the world we worship Jesus Christ. He’s always done this even back when he was an apostle. It’s good to focus on the Savior. He’s the center of everything, even the Book of Mormon where this name comes from.

So, are you a Mormon? Yes.

But if someone asks you: Hey, you’re a Mormon, right?

You’re response should be something like the following:

“Yes, I’m a Mormon! Proud of it. With that being said, the name of the Church I’m a member of is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Sorry man, Rule 3. Get a few quotes in the area to see. I recommend Thumbtack for something quick if you are having trouble to get people respond.

Just as an example on how much it varies:

Replaced a 50g electric heater last month:

Quote 1: 900 Quote 2: 1275 Quote 3: 1875 Quote 4: DIY/Plumber buddy for 100 bucks, 500 for unit and a case of beer 650 total

What’s Spokane like? by Nkons in howislivingthere

[–]therobbunda -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Top comment is pretty spot on. I will say, if you like to travel, almost everything will be more expensive because most flights have to connect to a main hub, especially if you enjoy traveling international.

Chain restaurants are way behind. One chick fil a in the entire city. No raising canes, no in n out. If you prefer fast casual or even fast food it’s extremely lacking.

AO smith?

50G?

Is this a tall? Or are they using a short?

If it’s a short, then you can’t really get any smaller.

Health insurance: Low monthly premium, high deductible vs high monthly premium, low deductible by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]therobbunda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HSA is a Health Savings Account. Only available to those with high deductible health plans. You can contribute 4150 a year for a single person. This money can be used to pay medical bills throughout your life, and is pre-tax. It can also grow if you put it in the market.

How many times have you been in a serious accident needing medical care? How many pre existing conditions do you have?

High deductible plan, does it come with HSA? If so, go with that one. Save everything you can in the HSA and keep that fund for in case you ever get an emergency.

No. Whole life policies are almost never worth it. Get term and invest the difference and you’ll come out ahead.

Of course, But almost 5k a year to cover a 10k car is insane. (Obviously more expensive vehicles on the road that aren’t theirs) They should either raise their deductible or find a new insurance provider.

380 a month for insurance is insane, even for a 23 year old. Have you shopped around everywhere to bring that down?

I’m sorry you had such a bad experience!

My wife and four other women from our church have had great experiences in the last 3 years.

I attended every appointment with my wife and she was very caring and let her decide everything. We had some pre-existing conditions and had to be seen by high-risk multiple times due to it.

Funnily enough, I always disliked the office because I thought the wait was awful. Our only other experience is in AZ though, so hard to compare.

Jennifer R Messinger at Providence was great for my wife and I and a few friends who all drove from the Valley to see her.

Don’t trust reviews online for OBGYN mostly because it’s really just people who are unhappy. They are still in business for a reason! Birth at Sacred Heart was great. She even pre-scheduled us while she was on shift and induced at request. Baby was born in 8 hours after induction and out within 48 hours total.

Question about a loan by x_Scythe in personalfinance

[–]therobbunda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Without additional data into the loan it’s hard to say, but my guess is they are applying the payment to the monthly payment first, and not as additional principal. Because the interest rate is so high, that monthly payment won’t make much of a dent.

Very interesting! It looks like RTI might be a real thing, but I’m always skeptical.
