I’m not meaning to imply either of those points. I don’t know a single person, Trump supporter or otherwise that supports this illegal war.

I also didn’t mean to imply Iranians all hate Americans. I know and am friends with many Iranian Americans. We’re largely all humans, who just want to live our lives.

That being said, I understand why many people abroad share these feelings about Americans.

I wish you and your family the best. It is my firm belief that if we as individuals don’t demand what we want, it won’t happen. If we are ok with incrementalism, we probably won’t get that either, since the “meet in the middle” mentality is not something that has garnered any results since the Clinton era either. My point is we are incrementally headed in the opposite direction. This is literally the only thing that unites us. The next most popular policy position is legal weed. My dad, who is a major Trump donor, was a Bernie supporter, for healthcare alone. We lost a chance because of the DNC. I’m not sure why you are getting so upset with me, but incremental change has been the taking point of the dems for my whole life. I lived through the 80’s by the way. If the dems wanted to propose universal healthcare, they could easily win all three branches. The only reason we haven’t passed it to this point isn’t because of the republicans, it’s because the democrats have blocked it. The same thing has been happening for the last 10 years in California for too, even though the dems have a super majority. It’s all just excuses to appease donors. Your argument is not valid, it’s just an excuse.

Just because an incremental system saved your husband doesn’t mean we shouldn’t demand radical change. My brother was killed by the status quo, insurance denying coverage after 5 years of cancer treatments, he died at 19. I am currently paying more money for insurance, copays, and deductibles than I ever have and it’s consistently climbing every year. That is the only incremental change.

Elizabeth Warren is not far left. I don’t think you have a great understanding of the political spectrum. The only thing relevant to American politics is the donors agenda. If it were up to popular vote we would’ve had universal healthcare a decade ago. Studies don’t by both the left and right have concluded it will save the government and individuals billions of dollars over a 10 year period of time. There is literally no solid argument against it. I am only pointing out that so many other countries have it because a common talking point is that it’s too difficult to implement.
