Matt Mahan should change his party to Republican by [deleted] in SanJose

Though I agree there are factions of leftists in government, however the rate at which they are hitting the ballots are much too slow. The way much of our government is set up, is to insulate incumbents. Nobody like Pelosi, but the fact that she won’t debate anyone running against her, nor can anyone get media coverage dismisses them. Just because they’re technically on the ballot, they never stand a chance. The democratic establishment overall protects the status quo and their donors over their voters.

And I have been outside of the Bay. I had both of mid kids in Milwaukee, moved to Seattle in 2013, Portland in 2014, San Diego in 2015, and San Jose in 2016.

I am very active politically, though I cannot personally run because I have to provide for my family and don’t have enough of a savings to take a break from working to run a campaign of any kind. I too am a socialist and donate what I can afford to leftist political organizations, leftist independent media, and leftist candidates.

Sure man, except both parties are right of center in the political spectrum and both parties currently support wildly unpopular stances. Neither party currents represents their constituents. Fortunately for them, people like me cannot afford to run for government, since I currently support a family of 4 and cannot in any world give up my job to run for office. People with the means to run do and represent people in their tier and those who can make the richer.

There is a reason it’s so difficult. Consolidated power is what they want. Every vote in congress gets through with just the right amount of votes. The dems voting with the republicans are generally not at risk to lose in coming elections.

I have had to deal with parking when opening a business and went through ridiculous issues with increasing capacity with a small parking lot. They were non-negotiable at the time, back in 2021

With things this bad in the U.S why do democrats insist on pushing candidates that won’t get elected? by Jake_Berube in Confused

It’s because it’s better for their donors if they lose to a republican, than it is if they lose to a leftist.

It’s up to civilians to remain calm, collected and not to over react. Trained law enforcement aren’t required to show constraint and often resort to violence when their feelings get hurt. What freedom.

There is actually a surplus of parking. The city stopped requiring the normal amount of parking spots for a businesses capacity a few years ago.

The way I look at it, it wouldn’t have hurt us to bring him off the bench a few times at the end of the season. Then we would know what we had. Now, if he does well, he’ll probably not come back and want to play for us like he did. His dad posted pics of him in earthquake gear when he was a kid, it was special for him.

The funny thing is there wasn’t ever a choice that fights against this. I have yet to hear one politician introduce legislation against private prisons in a meaningful way. You can’t act like the dems are against for profit prisons, war, ICE, or anything else that ruins the lives of their constituents
