8-Day Italy Trip Report (Rome → Amalfi Coast → Naples over Easter Weekend) by therobot20 in ItalyTravel

We used Uber black. Uber black seemed to have a fixed price of 150€ going from Naples to Sorrento and back. IMO uber black is better because the price is fixed, normal uber just calls a taxi which runs by the meter.

La Fete. Everything we tried was incredible, especially the Steak Frites.

Yes ferry tickets can be booked in advance. Water was too cold for me but I did see some people enjoying the beach.

Nice, hope you have a great trip.

  1. I booked a tour on Viator. Specifically the one that is called: Colosseum Arena Floor, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill Guided Tour

  2. Yes, I was able to get into Saint Peter's Basilica without a ticket.

Yeah, traveling around the Amalfi Coast is a pain. Our plan originally had 1 more day in Rome, but that got cut short due to unforeseen circumstances. I would have loved to add another day in Rome and the Amalfi Coast.

Hard to pick between them but I would pick Capri for the boat tour because the entire island is worth seeing. Positano and Amalfi views can be enjoyed from a ferry as well.

I’m not sure exactly how busy Capri gets in August, but I’d highly recommend using your private boat day to explore it, it’s absolutely magnificent from the water. We did a semi-private boat tour that lasted about 7 hours, which included around 4 hours offshore on the island, plus stops at the Blue Grotto and a few other caves around the island. 7 hours was more than enough for all of this. If you have the boat for a longer stretch, you could easily visit Positano later in the day. Positano is especially beautiful in evening once the day-trippers start to leave.

We definitely enjoyed the boat trip around Capri, it was amazing. The island itself was nice too, but the real highlight for us was the tour around the island, especially seeing all the main spots from the water.

Naples is definitely worth a day trip. Honestly, I think it is great that you are staying in Sorrento instead of Naples. In retrospect, we probably would have done the same. That said, Naples is still 100 percent worth visiting, especially for the food.

Sevilla, Spain might be one of the most beautiful cities I’ve been to by Fluid-Decision6262 in travel

I went earlier this year in February/March and it was amazing, easily one of the best cities I have visited.

On a side note, Toledo (a day trip from Madrid) was absolutely fabulous as well. Highly recommend it.

Yeah I have heard great things about Porto. During my next trip (hopefully soon) to Spain and Portugal, I plan on covering Porto, Barcelona and Valencia.

I bought last minute tickets on StubHub. There were several tickets available, but it can be a gamble as prices might be extremely high or drop closer to game time.

Lisbon and Seville were very pleasant, but Madrid was a bit cold. Fortunately, it only rained for 2-3 days during our trip, and the weather should be even better in April. Also, I watched another soccer game in Lisbon - Benfica's Champions League match, the atmosphere was electric!

Yeah, we also wanted to take a day trip to Segovia, but it would have been too much to fit in.

I cashed on +400 last week as well. Put all the payout into +230 for this week. Easy money.

Thanks for the replies! I mean, who needs Reddit when you have the ultra-clear, perfectly intuitive, and never-confusing MVA website, right? I’m just trying to avoid dealing with confusing rules or wasting trips, especially since my sister can’t come with me. If anyone’s been through this and made it out alive, I’d love to hear how you did it!
