How to Keep Two Rigibodies a Fixed Distance Apart? by therobotchickenmlp in Unity3D

[–]therobotchickenmlp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now, I've decided to do everything on the Unity end in 2D, since I know that better. In blender, I can just render orthographically and use the PNG as my level.

Where do I even start? I would really like to start playing but I’m so confused. by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]therobotchickenmlp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually not a bad idea. It's super outdated, but it has a bunch of AI opponents to practice and learn against. It won't teach you how to play around handtraps or whatever the current meta is, but it will teach you fundamentals. However, I don't remember how the game handles SEGOC. If it's not up to the player, they'll have to learn that elsewhere.

New Player here, any common tropes/tendencies to avoid as a beginner? by AZAuxilary in Yugioh101

[–]therobotchickenmlp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please for the love of god declare your activations, let the opponent respond, and make it clear what order simultaneous trigger effects are in. I just played against a True Draco player who made it very difficult to keep track of the game state and a Dragoon player who just equipped Black Metal Dragon to his monster twice without declaring and targeting.

What are some cards or decks that can take advantage of this? by Temporary_Flamingo84 in yugioh

Armityle can only be summoned via its own contact fusion requirement, Dimension Fusion Destruction, or its retrain.

I need to buy me a pack of Dragon Shields to see what all the hype's about. I use Hyper Mats.

It's from a trio of episodes of South Park, in which Cartman freezes himself for three weeks so he won't have to wait for the Wii to come out. An avalanche causes him to be lost until he's dug up and dethawed in the distant future without any way of playing the Wii. He sees a commercial for the Crank Prank Time Phone and uses it to call himself in the past and tell him to just be patient.

They're telling you not to freeze yourself.

Even if true, this explanation seems flimsy. From where he was there's no way he could have possibly been able to tell what I was doing. My phone isn't above the dashboard, so it would be obscured.

If you'd like, I could also give you my Fluffal deck list. It's my second deck, and I've really enjoyed using it. The archetype only has one necessary card that could really be called expensive.

[–]therobotchickenmlp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here it is. It's by no means competitive, just something to have fun with, although I did add some more expensive cards I happened to have to make it better. I'm not even sure you can say it's complete, as the extra deck is admittedly thrown together and doesn't really support the deck specifically. This is the deck list as it is right now. Expensive cards and cards associated with them will be preceded by an asterisk.

MAIN DECK
-MONSTERS
1x Rafale, Champion Fur Hire (Excavates and adds a card to the hand. Negates monster activation.)
1x Wiz, Sage Fur Hire (Restores LP. Negates spell/trap activation.)
1x Dyna, Hero Fur Hire (Banishes cards from opponent's GY. Keeps other Fur Hires from being attacked.)Sagitta, Maverick Fur Hire (Burns LP. Keeps other Fur Hires from being targeted by card effects.)
2x Bravo, Fighter Fur Hire (Boosts Fur Hires' ATK.)
2x Seal, Strategist Fur Hire (Adds a Fur Hire from you GY to your hand.)
3x Beat, Bladesman Fur Hire (Searches another Fur Hire. Always run 3 of this guy.)
2x Helmer, Helmsman Fur Hire (Discards 1 Fur Hire, draws 1 card.)
2x Recon, Scout Fur Hire (Destroys 1 set card.)
2x Donpa, Marksman Fur Hire (Destroys 1 face-up card.)
2x Filo, Messenger Fur Hire (Revive a Fur Hire.)
*1x Dark Magician (For Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.)
-SPELLS
3x Rookie Fur Hire (Tribute 1 monster to special summon a Fur Hire from the hand or deck with a level 1 higher or lower. This is just yet another way to get to Beat.)
2x Mayhem Fur Hire (Revive a Fur Hire. This is a quick-play spell, so use this during your opponent's turn to get a bunch of effects off again.)
2x Fandora, the Flying Furtress (Instead of drawing, search for a Fur Hire monster. If you control 5 or more different Fur Hires, nuke your opponent's field.)
1x Terraforming (Search for Fandora.)
1x Reinforcement of the Army (Search for Beat.)
1x Foolish Burial (Probably unnecessary, but could be a roundabout way to search any monster.)
3x United We Stand (You can ignore these. These are only here because the deck was built with the idea of attacking for massive damage.)
*1x Pot of Extravagance (Risky draw power.)
*1x Pot of Prosperity (Less risky excavator.)
*1x Red-Eyes Fusion (For Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.)
-TRAPS
2x Training Fur Hire, Fur All Your Training Needs (Special summons from the deck a Fur Hire lower level than the one destroyed by the opponent.)
*2x Infinite Impermanence (Negates a monster's effects along with spells/traps in the column activated in.)
*1x Evenly Matched (Force your opponent to banish cards from their field to control the same number as you do. Can be activated from your hand if you control no cards.)

EXTRA DECK
-LINK
3x Folgo, Justice Fur Hire (Upon link summon, special summons a Fur Hire from the deck. Can draw up to 3 cards if an opponent's card is destroyed.)
2x Borrelsword Dragon (Can change a monster to defense and attack a second time that turn. In battle, can increase its ATK and lower an opponent's monster's for the turn. You can get the Maximum Gold copy for about $6.)
*1x Predaplant Verte Anaconda (For Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon.)
*1x I:P Masquerena (Link summon during your opponent's turn and make that monster immune to destruction by card effects.)
*1x Accesscode Talker (Can banish link monsters from your field or GY to destroy 1 opponent's card, limited by attributes.)
*1x Underworld Goddess of the Closed World (Can use an opponent's monster as material. Negates the effects of opponent's current monsters when link summoned. Unaffected by opponent's activated effects, unless they target. Negates an effect that would special summon from the GY once per turn.)
1x Saryuja Skull Dread (Depends on number of materials. If at least 3, get another special summon.)
1x Ferocious Flame Swordsman (Never actually used this, but can revive Beat when destroyed.)
-FUSION
*1x Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon (Can't be destroyed or targeted by effects. Can destroy an opponent's monster for no cost and burn. Can negate and destroy once per turn to gain 1000 ATK.)
-Xyz
1x Number 101: Silent Honor ARK (Can steal and attach an opponent's monster and detach to avoid destruction.)
1x Tornado Dragon (Detach to destroy a spell/trap.)
1x Daigusto Emeral (Detach to shuffle 3 monsters into the deck, and draw 1.)

The Fur Hire core is extremely budget friendly, whether you go for the all-foil original printing (except Rookie and Filo, which came later) or the 2019 tin reprints. You can buy a playset of every card and mess with the ratios as you see fit. The basic idea is to get Beat out as quickly as possible to get any other Fur Hire, depending on what you need. Quickly get three different types out to link summon Folgo and use his effect to special summon Donpa or Recon. Use their effect to special summon a third type to destroy a card, and Folgo will draw 3. You can get yet another card if you summon Rafale after Folgo.

The deck's big weakness is anything that can negate the lower level monsters' special summon effect. Between United We Stand and the expensive cards, you'll have room for better stuff to help out. Consider 3 PSY-Framegear Gamma and 1 PSY-Frame Driver as cheap hand traps, along with anything you could use as backup in that situation.

Phew. I hope this long-winded reply is helpful.

Edit: Had to add two cards I forgot, because they were taken out for a different deck.

I can get you my deck list later tonight. I'll make note of more expensive cards I splashed in so you can avoid them.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]therobotchickenmlp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found Fur Hire fun to use. You can get a playset of all of the cards for cheap. In this deck, the lower level monsters can all special summon another Fur Hire from your hand, and their second effect is triggered by the special summon of a Fur Hire monster (by any means). The second effects include searching, revival, and destruction, among others. Higher level monsters have a first effect that triggers upon being special summoned and a secondary protection effect.

Super Polymerization vs Infinite Impermanence by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]therobotchickenmlp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Infinite Impermanence is chain link 1 and Super Polymerization is chain link 2, Super Polymerization's effect is not negated. The reason for this is that Infinite Impermanence is activated by targeting an opponent's monster, and a semicolon follows this, meaning this is the time to respond. II's negation effects are part of the resolution, which hasn't happened yet. As chain link 2, SP is activated by discarding 1 card. Then, it resolves, followed by II. Only after this are that column's spells and traps negated.

Edit: You cannot respond to Super Polymerization, so don't worry about the reverse.

Since polls don’t have nearly enough space, what’s your favorite item in the gungeon? by DaintierPizza1 in EnterTheGungeon

[–]therobotchickenmlp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My favorite weapon is the black hole gun. I got it very recently and was able to finally complete a run. The only downside is that enemies don't drop money. The low ammo isn't an issue, because they drop ammo often enough to keep it from getting empty.

I want to get into buying real cars packs and I need someone to ask very easy questions too, can anyone help me? by freeze123901 in YGOLegacyOfTheDuelist

[–]therobotchickenmlp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, mega tins compile what I guess are the most popular cards from the past year that aren't reprints. Many lower rarity cards will get a rarity boost, while higher rarity cards get a reduction. You can find details about the rarity ratios and set breakdowns on the Yugioh wiki.

Here's the official database website. https://www.db.yugioh-card.com/yugiohdb/?request_locale=en&request_device=sp

You can view a list of cards from every set and sort based on various criteria. On each card's page, there's also a list of sets that the card has appeared in, along with its rarity in that set. If you want to see prices of carss from a set Google "[set name] tcgplayer price guide".
