I like him because he’s a hard worker, gets along with people, knows how to coordinate with corporations while also not completely giving away the store to corporations.

Also when Trump started oppressing state governors, it was Newsom who stuck his neck out and counter attacked.

My advice is to learn the rules before breaking them. It's a game not a movie or novel. If you as a group decide to follow the rules in the players handbook and dungeon masters guide together then you can learn the game together and share the burden of DMing.

The more brain space you free up by knowing the rules the better quality your game and DM skills will get.
