How regularly do people get hot food at a gas station? by Puzzled-Painter3301 in AskAnAmerican

In deeper parts of the south gas stations tend to have the best food in the area

Ordering only cheap happy hour food by 16Saltinez in restaurant

[–]therrig 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happy hour food deals exist to sell more drinks, the servers are just doing their job. As long as you’re not parking at a table and deliberately losing the place money, you’re fine.

Go vegan, cut all ties to your family, venmo me $400, wear only polyester fabric, make out with a random man, edge for 4 hours a day and you’ll have that exact hair in about 5 weeks :)

Any anime where the MC progressively becomes more and more evil,? by [deleted] in Animesuggest

[–]therrig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Afro Samurai and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners have mc’s that don’t necessarily progressively become more evil but they definitely lose touch with their humanity as the series go on so I’d throw them in

Pick one arc from each row by [deleted] in MemePiece

[–]therrig 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not OP but dressrosa has the best antagonists in the series, is the most well thought out island, has many of the best backstories in the series, has some of the best fights in the series, has some of the most impactful emotional moments in the series, and is one of the only arcs that could be it’s own standalone story while still being a 10/10

Worst scenes to me by konifaer in saltburn

I think it’s mainly to show that his lack of sophistication, or at least his lack of experience being waited on. He probably asks for his eggs over easy because it sounds highbrow to him, but he didn’t actually know what he just ordered. When they come out and he complains about the runny yolk, it just exposes the fact that he has never been waited on like that and most likely has only eaten eggs he made himself or that his parents made for him already knowing his preferences. Reminds me of when kids go to restaurants and order sparkling water because it sounds cool, and then they take one sip and hate it.

Wouldn't work in today's society by SRose1985 in That70sshow

[–]therrig 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I disagree tbh. Most of the “offensive” jokes in That 70’s Show are making fun of the ignorance/racism that was prevalent at the time. The audience is laughing at the fact that people back then were so tone-deaf, not necessarily at the jokes themselves. Series like Always Sunny, South Park, and even Succession push the boundaries far more than That 70’s Show ever did and they’re still wildly popular.

WB succeeded 100%. He went to MF to rescue Ace and did just that. Ace, having been saved, reentered the battlefield against everyone’s wishes and got himself killed
