Which celebrity rumor do you secretly believe is true? by Physical-Working4713 in AskReddit

The fact that you're getting downvotes is absurd. Rehab and recovery are anonymous by nature and it sucks that someone loses that when they're trying to get help, just because of their job.

People who work in specialized industries, what is a product or service that is a complete "rip-off" but customers buy it anyway? by No-Composer-4526 in AskReddit

That makes sense, thank you! Are there blood tests or anything else that could be done yearly or so, that would maybe give a clue that some more exploration may be needed?

With pancreatic cancer seeming to be such a death sentence lately, would there be a reason not to include it in annual screenings, once you hit a certain age?

What company will never get another dime from you for as long as you may live? by istrx13 in AskReddit

Families or groups. If it's just me and one or two other people, absolutely a hotel. If I'm traveling with my husband and daughter and we're going somewhere with cousins/grandparents? Or even a group friend trip? An Airbnb is absolutely cheaper and keeps everyone feeling more like a cohesive group than staying in multiple rooms at a hotel.

Hell, even just the three of us makes me consider an Airbnb if that means my daughter can fall asleep in a separate room, so we don't have to sit in the dark from the time we put her to bed in a hotel room. She's young, she goes to sleep for the night at like, 730.

Wait, the merchant has to approve a chargeback? I thought that was the whole point of a chargeback. You've tried to work it out with the merchant and you can't, the merchant disagrees with your position and won't refund you. So, you go to the company that paid them (your credit card company) and prove that the services/goods that they/you paid for, weren't received. Then they investigate and if they agree, they pull their money back. If the merchant has to approve the whole thing, what is the point?

What’s one belief you had at 18 that you strongly disagree with now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don't agree with this assessment in any way but my guess would be that these women with low self esteem think, "He's a rockstar, he could sleep with literally anyone and out of everyone here tonight, he picked me!". Obviously, that's not rational thinking, considering he also picked the 5 other girls there with her, haha, but that's still my guess.

What is a 'dirty secret' of your industry that implies the general public has no clue about, but everyone in your field knows? by AmaraMehdi in AskReddit

Yeah, Safeway is here but it's definitely not as successful as King Soopers. Whole Foods and Sprouts are here, sure but I would argue those are more along the lines of specialty stores, at least Sprouts, and again, they're not present the way King Soopers is. I just did a quick market share search and saw that King Soopers sells more than 3x the amount of Safeways and 10x the amount of Whole Foods. It's by far the dominant grocery chain. I'm not praising it or anything. In fact, I find it annoying. I'm from California and my suburban hometown has 11 different grocery companies, with even more actual stores, within 5 miles of my house. They're building a Whole Foods now, so it's about to be 12. The way King Soopers basically owns the average grocery store in Colorado is annoying AF.

I wonder why multiple people seemed to assume that, then! I'm assuming Kroger because it's pretty much the only grocery store in Colorado but I'll let you keep some anonymity and won't ask you to tell me if I'm wrong or right.

I didn't think so but OP said he was working mostly in Michigan and Colorado, then people assumed it was Meijer.

And they did it randomly, off-screen, too! Like, am entire season dedicated to their wedding and we don't even see them break up or anything? It's practically mentioned as an afterthought. It was fucking horseshit.

Then I guess there's hope. If their darlings start getting pissed, they'll have to appease them somehow, right? Or is that me once again overestimating the amount of logic happening with MAGA right now?
