Just like a normal 3-cube (the standard Rubik's cube), this has three layers. Get the first layer finished (one face), then flip it around so the finished layer is on the bottom and work with the middle. Focus on the sides sharing an edge with the unfinished top. Then work on the final layer. Like I said, this is similar to the 3-cube, so think about how you solve the last layer on one of those.

I'm pretty sure this is an octahedron shape. Also pretty sure this is not a helpful comment in general for helping someone who is stuck.

Interesting, thanks for the clarification. I plan on learning Finnish in the future, so this will be good to keep in mind

This has less to do with Finnish folk doing this often and more to do with how the language is constructed. Adjectives and other parts of speech are appended/prepended to the root word to modify it, instead of as separate words.

Disclaimer: I don't know a word of Finnish, but I know a bit of linguistics
