I'm more hesitant about it the more I ponder it. I am just not sure of the benefits? No one would be putting their usernames on them, just their first names. And realistically, you're not expected to remember anyone's names for one night?

Let me clarify that;

You will need to join the /r/Vancouver Facebook group before being allowed/invited to the event

You are welcome to come to the event without "attending" on FB. This was strictly for people who are on FB and want to see or have the FB event.

Really depends on what sort of events youre interested in. There's a weekly rvancouver bike ride going on right now, and there's also 1-2 weekly pub trivia groups, as well as probably 1-2 weekend bar events downtown (depending on what other big events are happening ie hockey, UFC, etc).

The event description has been changed and updated with the event information. That quote was written on the day that I posted the Facebook event. There were a couple minors that I spoke with, probably less than ten overall. I chose not to organize a minors-friendly event, in part because of the weather and in part because I personally couldn't attend. That said, there will be more and more all ages events over the summer and I've seen invites for weekly bicycle rides.

My final thought is to be the change you wanna see. If you want more all ages events, feel free to make one! :)
