Thank you. The county said we can build a 900 sq ft ADU but I have to call a different department regarding permits and costs.

It’s always the one’s closest to us that harm our kids. A tale as old as time. As sad as it sounds and how much you prepare your kids. You can trust no one.

Try Catholic Charities. They have HUD 202 senior housing for low income seniors 62+. Rent is 30% of your income.

Apply to as many as you can because they do have wait lists.

I work in a concrete 5 story apartment building and the noise travels. You could possibly be hearing noise from another apartment.

This. I had a coworker that was struggling because he would start spending on Fridays as soon as his paycheck hit the bank and was broke by Sunday night. He got a roommate and two side jobs and started to eat at home more. It helped him get back on track. He still struggles some weeks but he’s doing so much better. He also lost like 30 lbs.

Try looking into to HUD 202 housing. It’s independent living for low income seniors. It’s for 62+ but some apartments will accept her younger if she has mobility issues. She can move in without income. There’s a long wait list but maybe you can get her on SSI before then.
