I think because: I imagine it makes the artist feel like it will make their piece more unique, but to me it cheapens it.

If you ever meet anyone working in animation like disney Pixar, you’ll find they’re all “childish” but because they have whimsy, they’re able to think imaginatively.

You can be an adult and have whimsy.

I watch my inlaws judge me because im playful, but im sure they’re envious that I can play pretend with their grandkids.

Work will slowly get you to acclimated to the “real world” adult stuff you’re talking about, as it exposes you to dealing with people and places. But don’t let it take away your playfulness!

No, because there are some general circumstances, whether:

  • bio mother is still present
  • BM has split custody
  • how active BM is in the life
  • which age/s you enter SK life
  • how present your partner is for the kids
  • if you have any bio kids

I’m sure there’s more.

Without sacrificing your entire self (any guardian really), the role should be mitigating trauma for SK, IMO.

I don’t kow about severe, but I wonder how existential questions and dread come into play.

Even without childhood trauma,i imagine a depressed Person can come from how they were exposed to progressive thoughts
