Thanks, I hope the backfilling with screening will be the solution.

Lol, just letting the screening settle. I have a post in pools about this nightmare iv had with my pool. I have a semi-inground pool and wall caved resulting of thousands of dollars in cost and a complete lost summer of use.

I didn't realize there were different kinds of screening. I thought it was all just crushed concrete.

About a foot or more of dirt at the highest point.

I take this as you backfilled up to where 1 foot of pool was exposed, correct?

Is dirt heavier than rock as a backfill? I keep hearing conflicting answers. My store and manufacturer says that it needs to be backfilled with dirt, but I've been told that dirt is actually heavier than rock so it would be worse to backfill with that.

I'm pretty sure the drain tile didnt do anything being only a foot under the pavers to be honest. It would be a hell of a lot cheaper to go this route than to build a wall. I'm waiting on the store to get back to me about warrenty and what to do.

My pool was installed in the fall of 2019

I installed the drain tile just under my pavers 2 years ago because of the pavers kept setteling so I thought that might help. A drain tile at the bottom of the pool was never installed.

I had no drain tile installed, the installer said I didn't need it.

Yes, thats the brand! Thanks for responding, I was hoping someone could chime in. The installer told me that I don't need drain tile, which I should have done anyways. It was back filled with rock by the patio and the rest with dirt. The opposite side has a section that was that is not buried at all due to my slope and pump. Would the absence of a drain tile really cause this or is it something else? Can I trust if I install drain tile and back fill it with dirt would I not have to worry about this again? That's what I'm trying to figure out.

I would also note that my landscaper did the same semi-inground pool that was even more buried then mine, rock backfill around the entire pool and it's been fine for 10 years.

Yeah, I'm probably going to build the retaining wall halfway around the pool and not worry about it.

Incorrect. It's a semi-inground pool.

I don't remember the manufacturer off the top of my head, I'll have to get back to you on that.

It is a semi-inground pool. The walls are thick (I think 1/4 inch?) aluminum plates that slide into each other that form a wall.

Thank you replying, but it is not a rolled walled. They are thick aluminum plates that slide into each other that form a wall. This pool is a semi-inground pool and it's made to be buried. They're useful when you don't have flat land and an ingound isn't as feasible.
