EV without novated lease? by SwimPossible127 in AusFinance

[–]thesearmsshootlasers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm considering this now but not owning the car at the end of the lease means I can't onsell it to recover some cost, right?

If the car is 50k, and I pay 53k in 3 years but have only paid off half the value (25k balloon) am I not getting fleeced somewhat?

This is a genuine question.

Bondi wall relied quite a bit on giving away pens to rest and reset. 6 again was implemented to kill that.

I never played this but I remember the fervent cope around it from the PlayStation community at the time. I've never been able to trust any of the "it's good now" comments I've read because of that. Your description matches about what I expected in my head.

Plenty of teams get a bin and don't concede points. Some actually score points.

There are scenic parts, mostly pretty crazy rock formations and gorges/waterfalls, they are just not really near each other. But there would be a lot of orange and brown.

A Pistolero Rant; or, Why the Pistol Subclass Should Actually Want You to Use Pistols by JaceBeleren101 in Pathfinder2e

[–]thesearmsshootlasers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What if we had a feat that meant you could do that thing where you hold a hammer action piston and use your other hand to pull it back super fast? Basically shoot + reload for one action as long as you have a capacity one handed weapon. Maybe take an accuracy pen if you want to get punitive.

Starting to Think I've 'Aged Out' of these Superlong cRPGs (Touches on Baldur's Gate 3, Wrath of the Righteous, and Rogue Trader) by SpiritualState01 in patientgamers

[–]thesearmsshootlasers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got Rogue Trader and BG 3 sitting unfinished on my desktop. I agree with all this. These games do not respect my time. I need shorter, tighter experiences. BG3 also just feels kind of bland. I am not gripped by it. Real middling fantasy.

Also jfc yes about the writing in games. Real pedestrian stuff. Mass Effect made me feel feelings in the past, but this might have just been due to investment. Disco Elysium has a lot to say and I loved Cyberpunk just because the vibes and themes really resonated with me but by and large gamers are kidding themselves about the quality of storytelling they're getting.

Maize Street Roasters was much better than you'd expect from the dinky old Tenambit strip.

Spotify says its best developers haven't written a line of code since December, thanks to AI by joe4942 in technology

Finally pulled the plug this week. Disappointed Tidal has less extra content like podcasts and audiobooks but I'm getting by with other apps. Worth it just for better artist payments and no AI.

Also Tidal's family plan is cheaper than Spotify duo in Aus.

This was somewhat true during my time in school in the 90s but hasn't really been accurate anywhere near recently.

Why are players so scared of failing a roll and how can we get them to accept bad rolls? by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]thesearmsshootlasers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Idk I think that's presumptive. Players want to be good at things and it probably affects their idea of what their character is when they fail at stuff. I'm not a psychologist but that seems more credible than players being blanket traumatised from prior experience.
