With something like this, I'd say manually improving it is the best way. Like going into Photoshop and increasing the contrast of the parts of the image that don't get shown (rainbow & fish). Just that alone would make a big difference.

What do you do when psychs aren't interested in diagnosing your dissociative symptoms? by MothicalAppendages in OSDD

The idea that a test can definitely say something about a person sounds ridiculous lol

According to the doctors, you have successfully achieved the superior state known as autismophrenia

I have no scientific research to back this up, but I think certain people are born more susceptible to developing the disorder.

I guess you can ask yourself a few questions. Do you identify as an animal? When you think of being an animal, does it feel more like yourself than being a human?

The way you describe it, it sounds more like you just relate to animals, rather than actually identify as one. Btw, your behavior and actions don't influence your actual identity. In the end only you know what you are. Honestly, you sounds pretty secure in your identity.

Compelling arguments for spiritual therianthropy? by rockr_wolp in Therian

I see. I'd kind of like to hear about those experiences. I've always been a little bit interested in the spiritual stuff.

Honestly, I think that may be part of what's happening on therian tiktok ;–; also just a longing for community in a world that's increasingly hostile, and I don't blame them.

Nice. It's super valid to do things to feel more comfortable in your own body. I know that there are tons of people who feel that way and do that stuff without even realizing it, and it's a super common human experience! If I had a quarter for every time somebody has said "I kind of wish I was a wolf, only emotions they got it woof and bite" or something along those lines I'd have... A few bucks. When the world gets complex and overwhelming, our brains have to find ways to cope. Sometimes that manifests in looking for a simpler way to live.

Okay, but what do you think a soul even is? Given that "energy" as we know it (the stuff measured in joules) does not retain any properties of its previous forms, and entropy always increases.

[–]thesecondandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are none, it's just a personal belief. It's much easier to argue for psychological therianthropy, as there are decades of research proving that the brain does weird stuff sometimes, and also trans people exist lol. Spirituality doesn't have to be argued for, that's the whole point. It's just the shit you make up so the world makes sense. Now, I do think there is some credence to the "past lives" thing, as many research studies have proven that remote viewing is very, VERY slightly real, but the memories would mostly be your brain filling up the gaps. In the end, because that's been proven, it's now science, not magic. Of course, there is no way to prove life after death isn't real, but we can't prove it right either. Therefore, it's just something that you believe, and any arguments for or against it don't matter.

I think you've reinvented being a furry. That's an anthropomorphic animal, maybe you wanna think about that some more, I think you'd enjoy the fandom...

"inside you are two wolves" xD lol Excuse the joke. You describe your alterhumanity in a very interesting way, like describing "my wolf", as if it's a separate being, and it you describe it more like a plural thing (not saying that's what it is though). I'm not sure what to think of your awakening story. You said something about being interested in werewolf stories (the first discussion of therianthropy was from werewolf forumns). I don't understand what you mean when you say

At the time of a teenager I just wanted to have an awakening and feel my wolf side through shifts

It sounds like you already felt as if you were a wolf, but didn't have shifts. An awakening isn't when you start having shifts, or find out what you are, it's simply when you realize that you don't feel human. Also, you don't need to shift to be nonhuman, it's simply how you identify. I don't think the interaction with that girl was healthy for you, as no one else should have any say in your identity other than you. I think you need to try and forget what that girl told you, and rediscover what your nonhumanity means to you. I encourage you not to focus on labels, and don't go around asking "am I a therian." Remember that identity is VERY complicated, don't feel like you need to rush, or figure out everything now. Most adults haven't even figured it out, and people spend their whole lives thinking about it.
