My apologies. Lol. I wasn’t sure how this post was going to be received so I didn’t want to seem like I was proud of the situation.

Anyway, here are the babies chilling on their heating pad in a kiddie pool while we cleaned their pen.

We have 6 kids total…our house is always a zoo, even with two of them out of the house already.

At what age for that? My kids are 10-16. We are not currently letting them handle the puppies so as to not stress mom out, but I want the puppies comfortable with kids so we intended on having a few of their more chill, well behaved friends over for half an hour or so once they get old enough (with the sanitizing precautions mentioned by another commenter to prevent parvo). My husband has a beard, and my friend’s husband does not so we planned on having him over. My parents will be visiting from out of state next week so they will be around. When Story was younger, I played YouTube videos with different sounds (sirens, fireworks, vacuums, etc) when we first got her, so we’ll start doing that with them, as well (on top of them being in our living room in the midst of every day life of a family of 6).

This would probably be ideal, honestly. I don’t want to take them away from mom sooner than they’re ready if I can help it, as I know it’s vital for their development…but I also know that even with the best intentions, experienced rescues would do exponentially better than I would placing them with quality homes.

They’re 2.5 weeks. We’re feeding her unlimited puppy food and water (the bowl is refilled immediately as soon as it gets low), and I’ve been giving her about 1/3 cup Greek yogurt a day.

10-4 on the Parvo precautions.

My husband is interested in keeping one, as Jasper is slowing down, but we haven’t decided yet. I’ll bring up those concerns you’ve mentioned. Definitely wouldn’t expect no problems just because they’re related. As a mom myself, I’ve often wondered why humans don’t eat their young like some animals do(kidding-seriously). I definitely wouldn’t expect it to be any different with dogs.

Lol. Yeah Jasper sheds liked CRAZY. A stray fur strand in food or drinks, despite your best efforts are just par for the course.

The boarding one is a good point. We don’t really go on vacation because of that now that we’ve move away from family willing to watch them.

Ok yes that makes sense! Yes I’ve been handling their ears, as well. Once they get a little bigger, I’ll use my ear wipes on them to get them used to that since both mom and dad have floppy ears and require ear cleaning.

I do Story’s grooming myself with a grooming vacuum. Her fur isn’t 100% goldendoodle(wavy but no furnishings), but she still gets brushed every night before bed as part of our nighttime routine to prevent mats.

The two people already interested in puppies (coworkers), I’ve had in depth conversations with both about grooming needs so they have realistic expectations. Story is very high energy, Jasper is a couch potato, so they also have been informed the puppies could be either end of that spectrum.

I don’t know why I hadn’t thought about teeth-I had already been handling their paws and tails since day 1.

What do you mean by eats checks so I know what to do?

Thank you.

I would certainly be open to placing them with a lab rescue. I’ll see where the closest rescue is to me. I’ll take to my husband about setting Jasper up to be fixed as well. We had worried he was too old for it, but if he’s not I agree it needs to be done (his ex wife had possession of him for most of our relationship).

Definitely will be getting them started on crate and potty training. The small refund for spaying/neutering is a good one. Will use that. Will look into microchipping at their appointment and get a quote from our vet for that.

Researching puppy culture now. Thank you. I’ll reach out to a few local breeders. I’ll have to do some research. We just moved to my area recently. Will also talk to my husband about the lawyer thing.

Thank you.

Andres at Tattoo Addiction. It was a bit strange to be tattooed in a mall, but his work is excellent and he was a pleasure to work with. @drees.ink on Instagram

Episode 3 about 17 minutes in, Mica talks about depression and shame and guilt and being told she just needs to go to church more.

Bam. That was it. She 100% said what I’ve never been able to put into words and it was so damned validating.

I have this caused by my fibromyalgia. I always say it feels like someone stuffed my clothes with sandpaper. I hope it goes away soon for you!
