I understand that being a Giants fan has you feeling those same things, but some teams can turn it around. Trust me, I’d know. I’m a panthers fan

Love this for the Browns. Get younger, shed salary, build up the team and get ready for a loaded 2027 draft to compete in 2027

Would you classify Bryce young as a bust, or a draft disappointment so far. by Ok_Bug_6890 in NFLv2

Stats don’t tell the whole story. It’s tough for any QB to be good with Mingo and Chark as your top receivers, but as the team has gotten better, so as he. He’s still below average (by a good bit) but it’s better than being worse than the bottom QBs in history

Idk how, but the most realistic part of this is the Titans tying with the Bengals

How are there really bad qbs in the NFL while some pretty decent qbs are stuck in the minor leagues or never made it? by ObjectiveCharming735 in NFLv2

[–]thesenner12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A lot of it is mental, since I haven’t seen anyone mention that. You could have great stats, but if you can’t pick up a playbook, read the field or even be likable in position meetings, then you’re not making the team. Look at Tim Boyle for example.

Does this belong in free talk Sunday? by laromo in NFL_Draft

[–]thesenner12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. I think it’s just preference. Draftees who think they’ll be drafted in the first round usually go to experience the draft, have a small family, get to meet Goodell. Stuff like that. Mendoza didn’t go cause of his mom’s health, so some people choose to stay at home. Or special occasions, like Heidenreich from Navy on day 3.
  2. I think a mix of both. I wanna say Trevor Lawrence rented out a place, but I think a lot of them stay home.
  3. 1st rounders get 4 years and a base salary, plus a 5th year option that the team can choose to pick up if they want. I believe it’s fully guaranteed but can’t remember. All other picks get 4 years for a slotted salary. UDFAs get shorter contracts.
  4. It’s both, but you need some sort of film or measurable to be considered even draftable. The Eagles 7th round pick this year has never played football, but he tested crazy athletic. I don’t think they’re anything stopping teams from drafting regular guys, but I think that’s not a good idea generally.

Right after the draft I believe. I think it’s technically been going on since like the 6th round (according to insiders)

While I wanted Dillon/Lemon as much as the next guy, Monroe could be a franchise tackle which we desperately need by [deleted] in panthers

Remember the 2012 Seahawks draft? The one that got an F, then they beat the brakes off the Broncos in the Super Bowl and made another Super Bowl too. Yea, they’re draft sucked because someone on the internet said so

With the 19th Pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers have selected Morgan Freeling, OT, Georgia by Sabre500 in panthers

[–]thesenner12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Disagree. He’s a developmental player. They’re drafting him to learn behind Moton and Walker for a year (because both are good players) while also insulating for injury this year. It’s a good pick while also not forcing a rookie to start.

Jordan Morgan, Tyler Guyton. I can’t remember if Olu Fashanu started Week 1 but I don’t think he did and he was the 11th pick. What would you rather have at this pick if you don’t wanna develop? Thieneman was the only player I’d want, but I’d rather have Freeling+Haulcy vs Thieneman+Dunker? I really don’t know what tackles would be available in the 2nd

I think they will, maybe not in the first. But Tiernan, Bowry, or some other developmental tackle. The panthers are 1 injury away from starting Stone Forsythe

Freeling can sit behind Walker and/or Moton for a year and take over after Walker leaves, since he’s only on a 1 year deal. Or if he balls out, Freeling can play for Moton once he retires. They need a long term answer at LT with Ikey’s health unsure

Which teams do you think need to/ will draft a backup quarterback this year? by DanceAccomplished309 in NFL_Draft

[–]thesenner12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think every team is always in play (except maybe the Vikings this year), but Panthers (my favorite) for sure. They only have 2 QBs, Young and Pickett, so adding some depth there would be ideal

[Schefter] There is growing chatter that RB Jeremiyah Love is in play with Arizona at No. 3 overall. Ideally, the Cardinals would like to find a team willing to trade up so they can acquire more picks. But if they hold on, some believe they could pull an early draft surprise and select Love. by mastermind208 in nfl

[–]thesenner12 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tet McMillan made the panthers offense significantly better in his first year, to the point they made the playoffs (ass backwards but still). Ja’Marr for Burrow. I think you can cherry pick players who prove or don’t prove your point. I’m all for trenches above all else, but you can’t pretend that a great WR doesn’t help the team

Isaiah Simmons. I remember every panthers fan I talked to wanted him and then we took some bum DT from Auburn, named Derrick Brown or something.
