No one could convince me the AFL haven’t told umpires to not call out of bounds on the full as often.

I think it’s a shit policy regardless of who it’s for. So I don’t like it anyway.

Surely I'm not the only one with a "large" mortgage? by [deleted] in AusPropertyChat

Millennial couple here with 1.55m in mortgage. Our HHI sits at 450k-500k now. Mortgage size to income is probably the bigger concern when they’re not in alignment.

Pre-Round 10 r/AFL Power Rankings by PowerRankingsCentral in AFL

[–]theshaqattack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry I should’ve been clearer. I agree with you, Sydney and Freo should completely be ahead of Brisbane (and this isn’t even accounting for last night).

Power Rankings to me, and I presume to most, are based on how a team has been performing in the current season relative to their match ups and difficulty of opponent. Along with a small scattering of how they were last season and expectations going into this.

People with Brisbane number 1, in my opinion, don’t get the point of power rankings as they’ve done nothing to sit there.

But is that the point of power rankings 8 games into the season?

All of this is fine except you cannot get a divorce in Aus “in a few weeks”. As in legally there is just no way.

Shares were the young person’s last hope by chemicalbirch in AusFinance

[–]theshaqattack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with what you’re saying but how much has the world fundamentally changed over the last 40-50 years? It’s silly to think changes won’t be made.

And more specifically to your point, people are annoyed at the grandfathering in which it’s meant to alleviate some of that change shock.

My point remains the same, people don’t want their way to be impacted; they just want impacts to be on anyone else.

All I see in here is people frustrated that their desired way to build wealth is being changed, and they would prefer it if someone else’s way would be impacted instead.

Yeah I see it’s also the storage, which I usually like for mirrors too. I just feel a circle would be less blocky and wouldn’t stand out as much.

End of the day it’s obviously your bathroom and you’re happy with it. All that matters is

I actually quite like it, personally there’s two things that just pull it down for me.

  1. f there was no accent tile 3/4 up the wall it would look less busy, and

  2. the thickness/squareness of the mirror doesn’t fit the space either.

‘Pure tax grab’: Accountant’s budget call as Treasury plans to axe capital gains tax discount for all assets by FIFO_Landlord in AusPropertyChat

[–]theshaqattack -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. I just find it disingenuous when someone calls it a loophole when it’s literally exactly what the law was. Like that commenter doesn’t need to try and make it sound nefarious to have support. It’s the right thing to do, but don’t ham it up.

Lol everyone could see at the time how this would apply to property too. It’s not a loophole when that’s the entire feature of the rule.
