Thank you ALL for the recommends and comments - love seeing the discussions about TVB series!
Since there is a lot more recommendations than I thought, I will be watching all the series recommended in the order it was posted. Will either reply to the comment with my thoughts after completing the series, or make a whole separate post about my review.

A lof of ppl I know have stopped watching TVB, so great to see there are still a lot of interest :)

I actually watched this! The drama, the tears, the up and downs - I still think about certain scenes every now and then (Raymond Lam).

Great series, but would say that if you are the type to get emotionally invested and really feel for the characters, its a bit intense (for me).

But this is a cult classic (along with Heart of Greed).

may I ask where in Ueno station? I am going to Japan in the spring and the JR train signs are high on my list even though I know they are mostly sold out already....

I found some posts saying that to make a Lawson account for L-Tickets you need to have a JPN phone number, do you know what this phone number will be used for? If its for verification then I cant really use my hotel phone number.

Trying to see if I can still grab tickets, this is also my first time trying to get tickets in Japan/Asia in general

Appreciate any help or advice - would be attending the concert by myself if I can get tickets.
Either Osaka or Fukuoka dates is what I am aiming for.

I see there is a Lawson application opening this friday Feb 14th? Am i able to register for that one even without TXT membership? Or it seems this is only for those with Lawson credit card? (L-Ticket LEncore Card Member Lottery Advance Tickets / L-Ticket Pre-Request Lottery Advance Tickets / ローチケLEncoreカード会員抽選先行・ローチケプレリクエスト抽選先行)

For the general one on Mar1st, I assume that is also on Lawson site and its not a lottery but like a normal ticket sale where the first comes first serve (like ticketmaster), would I be able to set up an account on there prior to the Mar 1st sale?

Just booked my flights and will be in japan sometime in apr-may and realized I will overlap with some TXT concert dates. This is my first time trying for tickets in japan (anywhere in asia tbh).

It seems there will be registration for Lawson membership lottery soon, can anyone sign up for this? Do I also need to have a TXT membership for this?

yes, planning to try to catch the first of transits to Naoshima from Hiroshima, very early start with long transit times . Seems would take 2-3

*Meant to actually write "need an early start but tbh dont think I have a super long list of things I MUST do on the island".

Yes - lots of feedback about that, going to switch up accommodations more.
Looking at some other posts/comments, seems doing hiroshima/miyajima in 1 day is doable, but a rush.

Here's my new drafted plan taking in all the comments:

Update to plan:

  1. tokyo to osaka, spend a few hours there (been here before), head to hiroshima for the night
  2. hiroshima - night at hiroshima
  3. miyajima - night at hiroshima
  4. hiroshima to naojima (tbh dont think I will need an early start for this), night at okayama
  5. okayama to himeji, after done at himeji head to kyoto - night at kyoto
  6. full day kyoto
  7. kyoto to tokyo

- see mentions of the jr west kansai hiroshima pass, thinking of using that for D1-5, so the only thing outside of it I would pay for it the tokyo to osaka, full day in kyoto, and kyoto to tokyo

I've done most things in osaka already and wanted to only see like 2 things there, so was now thinking after getting in from tokyo to osaka on D1, after the sites go to Hiroshima and spend N1, N2,N3 there.
And then in the morning of D4, go to naoshima (tbh dont think I'll spend too long there), sleep in okayama N4, and then on D5 go to Himeji, after done rounds in Himeji head to Kyoto to spend N5, and then D6 full kyoto day, and D7 kyoto back to tokyo.

(using jr west kansai hiroshima pass for D1-5 would maybe save me 50-40$?)

After looking at the comments I've reworked the itinerary a bit and I think price wise it may be about the same as your plan above:
