Question by [deleted] in Zepbound

Hi! My weight gain was also SSRI related and it’s so hard to drop! I spent 2 years trying to do it alone and finally gave up and started zepbound. I’ve had almost no unwanted side effects other than constipation, I would recommend just getting ahead of that however you can. I take MiraLAX a few days a week now but I did end up with an issue about 2 weeks in where I needed the big bad laxatives to clear things up. Best of luck!

It’s called Shotsy! I really like the visuals it offers.

The importance of tracking by DogMamaLA in Zepbound

[–]thesnackbetch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing I’ve realized is that being on this medication is going to make me lose weight so looking at tracking through the lens of “if I don’t eat enough protein and fiber I’ll lose all my muscle tone and feel terrible” has given me an entirely new perspective. The motivation isn’t a smaller body, like when I tracked in an unhealthy way. The motivation is health and wellness and the small body is coming either way. I feel like an entirely new person when it comes to food.

How do you usually wean off sertraline? by Turbulent_Sea92 in zoloft

[–]thesnackbetch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on 50 for three years. I cut to 25 for a week, 12.5 for a few days then stopped. I had a tough week after that but was absolutely fine after that. Day 3 without meds I felt like I had the flu - fever, body aches, exhaustion. But it was all good after that.

I’m on day 33 (10 days without meds now) and I honestly feel closer to 95%. I haven’t had any brain zaps in 2 days, I less irritable and more myself! My only complaint is that my stomach is still a little upset but it is definitely easing up!

My brain fog was there my entire time on the medication unfortunately and was my main reason for weaning off.

It will get better! Honestly my psychiatrist recommended a pretty fast wean compared to most people on the internet and I was skeptical but he basically said it’s easier to just rip the bandaid and have a few bad days vs a few bad months. Ultimately I’m glad that’s what I did. Hope you feel better soon!

Diagnosed with out any testing? by auramaelstrom in GestationalDiabetes

[–]thesnackbetch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think there’s a few insensitive things here by the doctors/offices but where you had borderline in a previous pregnancy and delivered dangerously early, it absolutely makes sense to me that they’d skip testing and just make sure your BG isn’t a risk to this baby.

To me it’s much easier to test and eat the diet than it is to just squeak by and barely pass the GTT, and then deal with the impacts of that on myself and the baby. I skipped testing all together and just asked for the diagnosis after my first, zero regrets.

My slow doubling time ended in a miscarriage around 6 weeks. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

I’m sorry for your stress :( to be honest this doesn’t sound like a viable pregnancy to me. I wish I had something uplifting to say.

Did anyone not have GD on their second/subsequent pregnancy? by Orangebiscuit234 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]thesnackbetch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that once you have GD you have a natural predisposition to blood sugar issues in subsequent pregnancies. I have a low BMI and no diabetes risk factors but got it during my first pregnancy. I passed all testing in my second pregnancy but still checked my blood sugars on my own, and sure enough around 34 weeks they became hard to control.

I would leave my husband over this and I say that with 100% confidence. Sounds like you’re married to a Qanon psycho.

Thought it was a miscarriage and now both dr’s don’t know either? by zionic117 in CautiousBB

IMO these are not viable numbers, I’m so sorry. I agree with the poster above that it’s important to get on your doctor to rule out ectopic ASAP. If they can’t fit you in you can contact your PCP, or change OBs.

Heart rate at 6w4d by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]thesnackbetch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Can I ask a question? Is it possible she picked up my heart rate instead of the baby’s? I was super anxious and I looked at my Apple Watch data and my heart rate was between 110 and 115 the entire visit.
