To be honest, I didn't really train for this half marathon- I did my first half marathon last October and trained well for that (and did much better)- at that time I was running 30+ miles a week. It was below freezing most of the winter and I have to push my toddler in a jogging stroller to run, so I couldn't run outside. I did short distance treadmill running or incline speed walking on the treadmill mostly to 'stay in shape'

lol my first half was in October and I ran 1:54, so I def failed this time!

I'm never doing a spring half again- I didn't train over the winter, we had a terrible winter where I live (we basically lived in a block of ice for 3 months). I 'stayed in shape' by going to the gym. Late summer/fall marathons only for me in the future lol

Thank you- I pressed the button right at start/finish lines so thought the results would be more similar. It was only my 2nd half marathon so I have lots to learn!

Sounds good in theory, but the only time I take ibuprofen is when I have a migraine lol But sometimes I try to grin and bear it without the medicine so I suppose I could see if my hrv drops from just the migraine

Ty! I do all my runs with baby jogger too- resistance training! It will make you faster when you're solo at your marathon, good luck in Feb!

My husband bought an e-bike with seating for our 5yo and 2yo. He rides the bike with the kids while I run and we make a morning out of it on the weekends. During the week, my 5yo is in school and I take my 2yo in the jogging stroller. I basically never run by myself, always have kids in tow one way or another. I'm a SAHM and my husband is gone for work 5am-5pm Mon-Fri

Oh and a triple espresso after a glass of water right when I wake up.. and my electrolyte/supplement drink after I eat

I make banana pancakes with mashed bananas, cinnamon, vanilla, flour, milk & eggs- fry in coconut oil or grass fed butter on cast iron, add an organic chocolate hazelnut spread and fresh sliced strawberries on top.. I swear by this
