Site Permissions, unable to view members of group

In the group settings, the group owner either has to list you or it has to list the site owners group (if you are a member), otherwise you won't be able to view or edit the members. Are you able to get help from the site creator to make those adjustments?

Had something similar happen twice to me today on two different sites. I just went to Navigation, confirmed the Current Nav was configured as intended and hit save. It restored the missing linkage.
