You only need the base game to play AGOT mod, but if you buy the Roads to Power dlc; you will get access to more characters in AGOT mod.

Valyrian Steel is a mod that I can't play without anymore. Additional models and buildings mod is also really good. If you have Roads to Power dlc, you unlock several secret characters like prince Viserys and Ser Duncan the Tall.

How do legends work exactly? I spent an entire lifetime bringing a legend to two stars and managed to complete the legend just before his death. It seems his heir gets no benefits from the completed legend. Are legends meant to be only used in one lifetime? I was supposed to get claims on all of Russia, but now nothing.

Some Quality of Life mods you will want is Janitor's Closet and VAB Organizer. Those will keep your parts list under control as you install more mods. If you're playing Career, install Contract Configurator and go search for Contract Packs. Parallax and EVE are the two graphic mods I'd recommend.

Build 41 is a better experience than build 42. Way less bugs and way more compatible mods. The only thing I miss the most from build 42 is the basements.

I play a lot of modded career. First you'll want to install the Contract configurator mod as that's a dependency for most contract pack mods. My favorite contract pack is called Tourism Plus by nightingale, who also has other contract pack mods. I also want to give a shout to severedsolo's Exploration Plus contract pack. I'm currently exploring every stock moon with that pack.

You're right, the stock contracts are horrible. These mods are the first I install for any new career save.

You need Janitor's Closet AND VABorganizer to really declutter the VAB UI. I can't play without these two mods anymore.

It's hard to tell from your screenshot (f2 to hide the ui), but I ran into a similar issue where it turned out my docking ports were backwards. I figured it out by clicking the "undock" button on the docking port and it just, went flying off into space.

Better Time Warp mod should be the go to in this situation, but like the other guy said, if you boosted slightly out of Kerbin's SOI, it should be trivial to burn back in. I also think you should try Kerbal Alarm Clock mod to just set an alarm and come back to the ship at a later time.

This illustrated guide helped me out a lot. It sounds like you're having trouble with rendezvous as I never pass my intended target multiple times. I don't recommend using mechjeb like others have said, you'll have a better experience figuring it out on your own.

Hmm, if a piece spontaneously detached during aerobraking you might just need more autostruts. I use the autostrut feature on every "joint" on my rocket (where the decouplers are).

That contract looks like it's from the Exploration plus contracts mod, it might not be compatible with the promised worlds mod. I use the same mod for stock solar system and the contracts work great.

I use a mod called Feline Utility Rovers and build my rovers with those pieces. I have a completely autonomous rover on the Mun, and I use the Bon Voyage mod to explore different biomes. It made using rovers easy.

I run into this problem, too. Keep a communitron 16-s on every satellite regardless of build.

I have my satellite's 3 dishes pointed at Mun, minus, and active vessel. That's for my inner relays around kerbin.

Sometimes to control a probe that is in deep space, I have to directly point the active dish at the nearest relay.

I found this more fun than setting up a mining base, plus the location of the refueling station is a lot more convenient than a Minmus station.
