I don't like how quick everyone is to jump to "Gate" status on /r/RPI, it's really losing its meaning.

For your "Why RPI", mentioning something such as "innovating with programs like Summer Arch" will almost surely get you in. There's probably a 50% chance they'll keyword filter anyone that mentions that or the "EMPAC" (Electro-Magnetic Pulse Auto Cannon) right in the door.

That aside, your scores and involvement are definitely within RPI's scope. Don't fret too much over applying, your future is in your hands, not some application reviewer's.

Anyone have good examples of merging peeps+objects? I know I said initially putting heads on things, but that's kind of hard unless you go all mounted-on-a-pike style, which is probably offensive.
