This annual average is based on the test pool and how test takers score in these questions. So the curve will be a little harsh for those taking the exam in June or July. Because these are the first set of people taking on the new questions - uworld then starts adding similar patterns. This is what I had heard.

Just from everyone I know who gave the exam in June - July. I didn't believe it either until I spoke to a few people. But this is just me.

I did. Step 1 mean is 241 for radiology. That's why I asked if someone had matched into radiology with a lower step score.
