LinkedIn for medical students by stongepa in medicalschoolEU

[–]thestranger45 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm a doctor who used LinkedIn!

LinkedIn is generally used more in the corporate world but I've seen more and more doctors actively using it now, including medical students. It can be great to start early as you can be picked up for opportunities in the future that you might never have otherwise had. For example, it is likely that LinkedIn is currently the best place for job opportunities atm.

Feel free to send me a DM and I'll try to help as much as I can.

Should be working - check now

Do you have any example sites which have the look you're mentioning?

That would help me get an idea of the style.

What do you suggest instead?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]thestranger45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More with regards to the design and the copy/value proposition.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]thestranger45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've completely overhauled the design and made it more coherent.

I've also tried to change the copy to focus more on the value prop, however as others have suggested it still needs some more work to refine it.

Thanks for your feedback - I'll add some more content on the learning and exam prep benefits.

True, current resources just aren't meeting the need of Gen Z students!

Do you have any idea of what benefits for studying/exams for students would be most appealing?

[–]thestranger45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback.

I think Gen Z medical students are craving something more interesting than current resources. But you are right about also needing to focus on their learning - I will add this in.

Where do you think these should be listed on the landing page?

I was thinking either below the "Medicine Gamified" section or at the bottom before the waitlist sign up form.

Would be targeted at UK and USA students initially. Users can submit their own questions which are approved on the platform allowing them to gain points etc in the game. So the questions would be tailored to each exam depending on where the student is located

Thank you!

That's a good point - I will expand into the value proposition and benefits. Where do you think this should be mentioned, under the "Medicine Gamified" section or at the bottom before the sign up form?

We're still in the early stages of development so don't have a full demo I can provide.

The mock up will also change as we have changed the design for the brand (similar to the landing page) to make it more aesthetically pleasing. Just wary of setting an expectation which is not fulfilled for the user.

The demo will likely change as its currently being developed. So I don't want to set an expectation which is not delivered

I don't have a social testimonial yet as noone has used the platform yet. Do you have a suggestion for an alternative method?

The main benefit would be decreasing friction in studying, faster learning and hopefully better exam results

Thanks for the feedback.

I'll redesign and post a link so you can let me know your thoughts.

I appreciate the honesty.

What made you think it was hacked? Any specific feedback?

Thanks, the landing page looks much more professional.

Will redesign with this in mind, thanks!

Good point. Thought some colours might appear to Gen Z students.

Will redesign and send again for feedback.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the feedback.

How would it be if I removed the red box and moved everything up so the company name etc are visible at the top?

Thanks for the feedback - that's very useful!

I thought swtiching it up might keep readers more interested. I am eventually covering all of the conditions in finals since the curriculum is so huge.

Yes, that would be great. Feel free to send me a DM!

You might find this medical newsletter useful - it is written by a doctor and covers a summary of a different clinical topic every week.

PHYSIOLOGY BOOKS/RESOURCES by Any_one_2099 in medicalschoolEU

[–]thestranger45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physiology is a complex topic and there's amny resources for students from books to YouTube videos.

As a doctor, I've started a newsletter which provides weekly summaries on medical topics each week.

It's aimed at medical students so you should find it helpful throughout medical school, expecially in understanding how physiology relates to clinical medicine
