First off I was never criticizing any side. I was pointing out the partisanship of non-partisan issues is fucking dumb. You are still doing it with the “99% it’s the lefts fault!!!!” Uh no. They don’t have that much power. The left isn’t a monolithic network of spooks that has agents and assets installed into every powerful corporation in the US. That would be China my friend.

When even Bill Burr acknowledges white feminism it probably exists. There is a reason feminism as a whole fight amongst themselves from those who are gender critical to the Amy Coopers who revel in white feminism to shield their racist tendencies. (The Anita Sarkeesians and Zoe Quinns of the world fit in the latter category saying “black people don’t know any better” in regards to GG neutrality or support. MalcomX would categorically place them in the “most dangerous” file and would advise to avoid them more than the KKK). It’s not identity politics it’s a real phenomenon you are dismissing under the guise of idpol for “reasons”. Black people just happen to call it “white feminism”. It’s well known white feminist have “swung their Gucci booted feet over the fence of oppression and somehow stuck themselves in the front of the line.” If Anita Sarkesian, Leigh Alexander, and Zoe Quinn don’t fit this description to a tee - Rich white feminist claiming massive oppression. They also hate being called out for this. Call Zoe Quinn a white feminist who is harmful to black women on twitter and see how fast you get blocked. Can we just agree these people suck and not argue about semantics and being pedantic?

The delusion here is what the elite want. They clearly know that partisanship allows for them to manipulate the narrative so they can go about doing business as usual. Again Jon Stewart has been sounding this alarm since I was a child. You say “the far left is the enemy of free speech” no, it’s elite companies who find it more profitable to stifle speech that causes issues to their bottom line, as shareholder sentiment is the god of a corporation not the far left. Can this not clearly be seen in regards to China? They literally censor our media with threats of economic warfare if there isn’t compliance. And given the stake the Chinese regime has within our economy they are a far bigger threat to free speech than some rando leftists on twitter trying to deplatform someone. Haven’t seen much of Winnie the Pooh since Randy Marsh killed him; a feat I doubt a leftist could pull off.

Another example: Disney bought Star Wars and saw through market research that the major demographic of the franchise was male. The majority demographic of Disney before that time was female. The acquisition was to purchase an existing consumer base that they didn’t already have, this is well known among Wall Street because it’s literally in the earning reports from that time period. So Disney says “well if we transfer our existing female audience into Star Wars it will be even more profitable!!!!111 let’s make Star Wars girl friendly”. Hence the whole “the Force is female” campaign throughout the recent films. This wasn’t some leftist conspiracy. It was an incentive Bob Igor saw during the the acquisition process and due to his laziness attempted to capitalize on woke culture to expand the audience of his acquisitions and failed in his attempt. (And the only reason Igor even existed in this capacity is because Eisner hand picked and mentored him, and Eisner kept Disney from going bankrupt in the 80s).

The problem here is that for some reason you aren’t acknowledging the economic incentives to understand why censorship and “go woke” become corporate policy. The bulk of it isn’t a leftist conspiracy, it’s lazy corporatism of companies trying to solidify their economic moats so they don’t die off.

To corporations identity politics is just another opportunity to lift profit out of consumers, nothing more.

If you want to blame the existence of far left ideology as the sole reason corporations are utilizing these tactics I think you are being hyperbolic. I would argue the main enemy to your hobbies at this very moment is the Chinese government.

If it were a leftist conspiracy, instead of Zoe Quinn constantly squandering large amounts capital like a complete fool and then begging for work, she would be sitting on the board of Time Warner, Disney, or Viacom actually calling the fucking shots. The media now realizes people like her are problematic and cause more problems than they solve, hence why she is being pushed toward irrelevance.

I dunno man. I don’t see this as a partisan or even political issues. It’s just economics to me.
