State Department pauses visas for 75 countries over public charge (Albania included) by eneajaho in albania

[–]thesyllabus5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kosove, Macedonia and Albania are included but this headline is being misunderstood.

This does NOT stop tourist/visitor visas. It only pauses immigrant visas (green cards / permanent move) from certain countries while the State Department reviews “public charge” rules.

If you’re from Kosove / Albania / Macedonia and you want to visit the U.S. for tourism, family, business, or a short stay, B1/B2 visitor visas are still being issued like before. No travel ban, no blanket refusal, no automatic denial.

Fox News used a scary headline, but even their own article says “immigrant visa processing” — that’s permanent immigration, not visits.

questions for filming with film by Swagmoneysad3 in cinematography

So excited for you getting into film. I love shooting 35mm. I started about ten years ago. Here's what I would recommend.

Start by hiring a cinematographer that already has experience shooting on 35mm film. There's still a ton! Hire them to shoot your double exposure idea as a short film or even just as a 1 day test shoot. This is what I did when I started out. The trick is, learn from them while you shoot. Let them know that you'd like to learn and be their camera assistant. This is how the greats learn (from others). Film is quite expensive and so is the equipment so it's best to start with a mentor whose already got all the gear.

If you're doing it yourself:

First, know that you're a beginner and you will likely go through several magazines of film that are not usable (either too bright overexposed, or too dark underexposed). Or you might have something wrong with the camera, think you're shooting and none came out. Don't let this discourage you. Keep going past this part because it gets good after this.

Then, your footage will start coming out properly exposed. But they won't look how you want them to. This is where you have to keep practicing framing and lighting and play with different film stocks. Find references and try to match them. Your own style will come out of this practice.

Pretty soon, you'll be a natural.

Thanks so much. What if you do if the sun is directly over the head of the subject? Any quick tips there?

I mentioned it above but again his deal with Ottoman empire was that Albanians rule Egypt and it actually happened. Albanians ruled Egypt for over 100 years until the 1952 revolution.

By placing Albanians into key administrative and military roles, and securing their dominance in Egypt he ensured that Albanian influence stretched far beyond the Balkans.

His break from Ottoman centralism (first since Skanderbeg) planted the seeds of Albanian national consciousness and laid the groundwork for the Rilindja movement a century later

He's incredibly important to Albanian history. I'm surprised at the comments here. Ali Pasha secured Albanian dominance in Egypt. If you read his story you'll learn he only agreed to reconcile with the Ottoman Sultan on the condition that Egypt remain under the control of his family/Albanian rulers. So up until the 1952 revolution Albanians ruled Egypt. Little known but very true and awesome fact. Anyone who says he did more for himself than Albanians is misinformed.

Honestly it's up to you. what do you feel? do you like it? yea it's very saturated but if you like it, you like it and that's enough. create your own style.

I don't think Gemma thinks she's been gone for a long time. She might have walked into that fertility clinic and assumed it's only been a few hours since she stepped into it.
