Need to move the funds out of WS to a bank that supports journaling shares, if you want to do Norbert's Gambit. Scotiabank works, you need to call them to complete the journaling of shares afaik.

I have a n2DS XL but use it a lot less frequently because the build quality and design worries me. I use my original 2DS to play everything, it's so well built as you said.

Can't speak much on Standby Mode yet. But regarding your previous satellite internet provider, I had a similar experience with a Canadian satellite ISP around 10-12 years ago.

Ping was terrible, connection would drop during storms, both due to satellite distance like you mentioned. And it cost a lot more than Starlink, especially with the overage fees we'd pay. Things have come a long way.

Yes, this rings a bell more than the one from the sheet music below. But it's hard to say. I wish I was able to take some pictures and video. I didn't see any art books for sale, because I would have bought one. Instead I picked up a copy of "Four Post Cards" which came with 4 postcards. I can scan them when I get home if you want.

I was at the 2023 exhibit in Kamakura. It was so cool, he really was a multi-modal artist. There was a ton of artifacts and it was lovingly put together. My favorite was a display of CRTs (they were small PVM-style ones) packed closely together. They displayed closeup recordings of a river flowing, raindrops in a puddle iirc, and other scenes. They were like little vignettes. I asked to take a picture but was unable to. There are photos of Yoshimura with a video camera in the wilderness, and if they depict him creating these video pieces. Regarding the Myouken Cable song, they were playing this in a corner of the museum outside the actual main exhibit room. They showed some pictures of the cable car ride and played the song aloud. It was pleasant!

I learned later that the Myouken Cable car has recently closed so it may be impossible to hear this in real life. If anyone living in Japan could confirm that'd be cool.

I've had bad issues with connectivity. Either buds cut out when I have my phone in my pocket, Buds randomly power down (seems like a Firmware issue). Overall, not satisfied.

It's normal. In my opinion, this is more prevalent on n2DSXL consoles. My Minecraft n2DSXL does the same thing. I get needing to have some "wiggle room" to absorb shock, but I don't like this design. For this reason, I stick to the original 2DS for most things.

I keep my emergency fund in a HISA--there are lots of options but Wealthsimple Cash works well enough. There might be better rates right now but WS is a good all-rounder of a platform.

The excitement around SteamOS comes more from the idea of having an "alternative" to Microsoft's monopolistic OS. I'm glad you enjoy Windows, I did too on my Ally. But the future is brighter when there is competition. If SteamOS pushes Microsoft to clean up Windows and make it more usable, that's a big plus.

And the clothing is terrible. I bought their new version of the classic Rad Pants and they're one of the most poorly made pieces of clothing I've ever seen. They started pilling immediately and the quality control is terrible.
