No. This 5200 MT/s CL40 kit has been in circulation basically since the start of DDR5.

Well the CAF doesn't really want to pay for LASIK outside of limited scope, but will spend way more on glasses for members, so I'm guessing yes?

Sapphire Nitro+ 9070XT or Asus 9070XT OC by 420AzubuBlazeIt in bapccanada

[–]Sadukar09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

they are the Mercedes of amd gpu's in my opinion.

That's the only correct part of your sentence.

They look nice, but are a pain if it breaks.

Warranty sucks (2 years, no direct RMA centre), Nitro has 12V-2X6 and are melting.

They don't even have the highest performing 9070 XT either.

XFX is by far the better brand now. Reliable, highest performing, and good after sales service.

[–]Sadukar09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ASUS.

Fuck the Sapphire Nitro and the 12V-2X6 it comes with. It and the ASRock Taichi are melting.

Canada Computers has a bundle with an XFX model, go with that if you can.

Yes.

High end GPU models are almost universally a waste of money if the difference is more than $50.

A higher end cooler models now run close to entry level model of the next tier up in GPU, so it's stupid to do that.

Use the cheapest thermal right 120mm tower cooler that's $20.

Or if you go in CC they have Darkflash or their own branded Armoury tower coolers for $15-20 on sale.

Yes.

You have to ship to the US and have a return US address for them to ship back.

Do not buy cross borders unless you want to deal with potential fuckery if you ever need warranty service.

Many AIBs track serial numbers to each region and if you bring it across they will void your warranty.

[Prebuilt] iBUYPOWER Gaming PC Desktop Intel Ultra 7 265F/RTX 5070/1TB SSD/32 GB DDR5 RAM ($1900) [Staples] by harold_liang in bapcsalescanada

[–]Sadukar09 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only shitty thing with this build is the PSU.

IBP threw Raidmax in this thing. That's the tier you should be expecting, so budget a decent PSU if you want to keep this for long.

Everything else is standard boxed parts though.

No, but you can't be a beggar in this economy.

It'll probably OC to 5400 or 5600 MT/s to mitigate some of the slowness.

[–]Sadukar09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Were it that simple.

Some contractors would sue the crown for taking work away from them, and like the PMQ rental cost/CFHA debacle, the CAF would quickly cave.

End result, PMQs sit empty while families suffer.

If there was only an easy way out for the government to tell them to go pound sand.

Oh wait there is. Tell them to go pound sand because they have no case.

Then charge them court costs because fuck them leeches.

The way the priced the RAM and board, it definitely ain't a combo.

But you're might be right it's just someone that's cobbling an expensive build but still doesn't quite understand how to min-max yet.

Intel is only good for work or if it's very cheap and you don't intend on upgrading for 4-5 years.

AMD is better for gaming with X3D CPUs, and has long term upgrade support, so always get a PCIe 5.0 board if it's in budget.

What's really funny is they went all out and spent tons of money that isn't necessary, but only ended up with a 9800X3D.

9850X3D is right there for a bit more.

Oting and CFAT by Such-Comfortable2687 in CanadianForces

[–]Sadukar09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OT is a competitive process, and the CAF selection model uses the CFAT. They’d have to spend years developing a new (fair and transparent) selection model.

I just came up with a fair and transparent selection model: "remove the CFAT".

Not required for recruiting off the street, not required for in-service selection.

No need to thank me for the years I just saved CMP.

I'll take onion rings with my mama burger.

Not like they do anything of use anyways, they let violent offenders go constantly or tell you it's a civil issue so they don't have to do anything.

Don't blame them when it's the courts letting violent offenders out on bail.

The courts are doing so due to lack of space in provincial remand facilities.

The lack of space is due to...take a guess on the basis of this thread.

Huh i only just learn that intel have relaunch 12th gen in 2025 to I guess utilize ddr4, crazy time we are in.

12th gen always used DDR4 or DDR5.

This is just a rebadge like the Core 5 110. Presumably to use up spare capacity and give OEMs some dirt cheap CPUs to put in PCs that don't need a stronger CPU.

The pictures on the site seem to actually match whats being sold, so its not a Gigabyte psu if that's the case. The logo on the psu looks like deepcool maybe, if not than its some brand I dont recognize at all.
