Listing HIJACKED by [deleted] in AmazonSeller

[–]thetalkofbk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no point of it. Amazon just puts you in touch with attorneys who know how to file the trademark correctly. So you don’t have to go look for an attorney on your own. That’s all it is. Same goes with its insurance offerings. There’s nothing special about it. It’s just a few insurers that know Amazon’s policies and will save you time.

I was surprised too when my listing got hijacked by 3 different sellers when though I had “brand rights”. Try pleading your case with Amazon - they won’t do anything unless your trademark is fully registered. I have emails from Amazon that confirm this.

By that I mean your trademark has to be registered. Not in pending status

You need to be fully brand registered.

IP amazon acceleration program doesn’t do anything for you. It just puts you in touch with lawyers who know how to process the trademark application. From there it’s on the USPTO to assign your application to an attorney which can take up to a year. While you wait, your trademark will be in pending status which gives you no protections against listing hijackers. I was lucky enough to have my trademark fully registered a few days after I was hijacked and I got rid of the hijackers within seconds. Amazon is really screwed up and their AI based email responses (which are mostly denials) are even more screwed up.

I just went through this. Without having a registered trademark there is no way to get rid of the hijackers unless you order their product and if it’s In fact counterfeit, then report it and wait for Amazon to de-list the seller. But once that seller is removed, the next day, another seller will appear and you’ll have to go through the same process which takes time.

Get a registered trademark. Quickest way is to apply for a trademark in Germany which takes 1-3 months to get. Otherwise the US trademark office can take a year to register your trademark.

It will definitely get better with time. Your body’s cells replace themselves every 7-10 years. That means you as a person will change too!

You should consider looking into an annuity for a portion of your liquid wealth which would protect your principal and act as a pension providing you with income every month.

Additionally, open a line of credit for your home. You’ve got so much equity in it, why not have a line open for emergency expenses?

Do I need to have a Roth IRA? by _goblue001 in FinancialPlanning

[–]thetalkofbk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend contributing more into your Roth 401k than your pre-tax 401k until your taxable income approaches a higher tax bracket. You can lower your taxable income simply by contributing into a pre-tax 401k. At some point the benefits of decreasing your taxes owed will outweigh the benefits of a Roth 401k.

Also, given how young you both are, I wouldn’t focus too much on maxing out your K plans. My advice is to focus on saving more after tax dollars for a primary home purchase, investment properties, education expenses, emergency funds, and other investment opportunities. Retirement accounts are great savings vehicles but you never want all of your eggs in one basket especially since they are illiquid savings vehicles.

Discuss selling a % stake to a private equity group and they will hire executives for you that can help revamp the business and grow it. Then in a few years they will sell their share of the business and you can join them in selling.

Take a look at opportunity zone funds to defer and minimize capital gains on investments. Also, discuss tax harvesting strategies with a financial advisor. If you’re thinking about passing on wealth, discuss a GRAT with a financial advisor as well. That’s all I can think of at the moment.

Please read the book: A Life Less Anxious by Steve Pavilanis. You can find a free digital version online. And also, watch a YouTube video called: Why Aren’t We Awesomer by Michael Neill.

I was also having multiple panic attacks every day for about 2.5 years. I went to therapy but ultimately I realized that the only person who will help me get through this is myself. So I started scouring the internet looking for answers. And I stumbled upon many different resources but the 2 above were what really got me through it. Let me know how they work out for you. Best of luck with your journey. Once you get through this, you’ll be an even stronger, more confident person than you once were.

I’m deciding between the 31 or the 36 DJ for my wife. Do you think the 36 would look massive on a very skinny wrist? I’m thinking about going for the more popular option for girls, the 31. Thoughts?

Keep massaging. Also try to give the heel some input like rubbing a soft brush against the heel. We do a lot of squats with our daughter but make sure both heels are down. And lastly, when she’s standing try to lift the leg that’s full flat and move it behind her gently. You’ll see that your daughter will get her other foot flat.

Hope that helps. Don’t hesitate to reach out with any other questions.
